Yeah, I guess that's a pretty nice feature. Would allow us to detect it right away. The devs have already said they're considering allowing us to actually see the rolls on items. That would partially solve the problem. Unfortunately opening up vote kick at the end of a dungeon has WAY too much chance of abuse so we won't ever be able to remove the troll, but you can ruin their day by having someone else roll and beat them to ensure they don't get the drop.

sounds more like loot drama from players side rather than the system not working. I'd prefer to have less interference from the game when it comes to loot distribution.

If they agreed to it, they can actually get suspended for it if you report it.Ok, i'll throw in the context:
We were doing a GREED party for levi ex, and our healer wanted the WHM wand, but he changed to scholar because we already had a WHM who had the wand. He really wanted the Wand and even asked for it and everyone agreed. But when the Wand dropped, someone else rolled GREED on it and won, even thought his CNJ was at lvl 0.
This situation really pissed me off.
So I ask that you consider the system I talked about, and discuss it, if it would be good or bad, or even worth the trouble, instead of just jumping to "it's your fault".

If they add another button, this is how I think it should be prioritized:
1. Need: Gear your current job can equip
2. (New button) Feed?: You have a job with a high enough level to use this.
3. Greed: Lot on it if you want it
4. Pass
I always say this, and I guess it applies to everything in the game:
"If you want tank gear, go tank it yourself."
Eh, I'm a bit sceptical about this story. Initially your point was should people without a level 50 be allowed to roll, then it turned into someone saying they'd pass then didn't. Both are pretty different points.
If they said they would pass beforehand then didn't, then it is a reportable offence, the dev team have already stated this.
However it is irrelevant whether they were level 50 or not. Greed is greed. Is it fair that someone could lose a piece they need on their main to someone who is level 1? No, not really. But that's the price you pay for running the content on an alt class. If this healer was only there for the WHM wand then quite frankly I just don't understand at all why they would switch to SCH.
What do you mean? Everyone can use every item. They can change to that class and use it. I have a full set of the tank gear from Brayflox normal just waiting for me to start leveling my tank. Also, no game has disabled greed. They disable need for classes that can't need on it, just like this game, but to disable greed too would make items just rot.

If I'm doing any of the high level dungeons where the iLvl70 gear drops, and a piece drops for the Class/Job I'm on, I will always roll Need unless someone has specifically said something beforehand. If someone asks, fine, but yeah, I highly doubt that Tank was psychic as mentioned previously.
Anyway, back on topic.
Before Coil 1-5 was unlocked, we had to grab a Pug DPS one week as one of our Team was away. Our static has a quite stringent Loot system that we use where we each have a Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Lot option. My secondary was Monk, and we didn't have a Monk, and the only time I would not get Loot was if the accessories dropped and our Dragoon could use them. So we beat Turn 1 and holy crap the Monk Pants drop. I rolled Greed, but so did the Pug DPS who didn't even have Pugilist unlocked. And yeah, obviously he won them.
Was I pissed off? Of course I was. Do I think the game should change to prevent that from happening? No I don't. It's part of the system. If I'd wanted Monk gear, I should have gone on my Monk. Simple really.
It totally makes sense that the more established player with more jobs should get way more loot opportunities than a fresh player. </sarcasm>

um ya, what you meant to post is, will people quit ninja lotting in greed pts!?!?!. because what you described in your first post, is already in the game. If you cant equip something, Need is greyed out, giving EVERYONE the chance to Greed. Ya ninja lotting sux, but it happens in mmo's. just write down that persons name, an dont do content with them anymore.
