    That would defeat the purpose of helping with new players' queue times. Good luck waiting on 7 other new players in the time you can play that won't just choose to skip cutscenes due to long wait times. I would probably say the wait times would be close to Cape Westwind or Turn 3 Currently. In other words, it just won't be worth the time for any vets to run through.

    I didn't read everything people posted. SE is trying to keep the story content relevant so new people can get it done, Without having to wait for hours like in some other MMOs. Force players to wait, who have already beat the content is only going to hurt the new player base. The only incentive we have to rerun those two dungeons is the Bonus from DR. Why would I sit and wait 45mins+ for someone to finish cut scenes for 100 Tomes? I could make 300-400 tomes in the same amount of time. Yes it is stupid as hell for any veteran player to get upset or kick a new player for watching CSs. All that says is they suck as a player, Because they cannot carry 2-3 people in the easiest dungeons in the game.

    I could care less who is new and who is watching CSs. I can carry 2-3 people including a Tank, Can't carry a healer (as a DPS) but it can be done with one. You want to watch your CSs? Go ahead, If you get kicked or people give you any lip report their ass. I've seen my fair share of players talking crap to new people for watching CSs, But I tell them to don't worry about it and continue.

    In fact the solution has been implemented, SE has added "no skip CS" option to PF.
    That's why some players suggested new players use PF for story quests without any skipping. ^^;

    I agree with some of each post, but I would say watch your CS and let's the vets go ahead and fight. Honestly to tell the truth if you're new to the dungeon you are going to get more from the CS then the fights as most of the players will be over geared and they won't last long. I go in as healer and can solo heal it while nuking.

    There's been lots of suggestions on how to fix this, but I've thought of one that could work. Nerf the last 3 events to be light parties instead of full, and have BoE Hard mode as the first taste of a full party. That way everyone has to contribute, and nobody can get left behind. It should also make the events actually difficult, since currently the conclusion to the game is a complete cakewalk. Ultimate Weapon was the hardest challenge in FF7, and it was almost sad to see it made a joke out of by the horde of overgeared speedrunners. Bloody Ifrit was more of a challenge!
    Excuse me that freakin easy ultima weapon ff7 is the hardest challenge? u ever met ruby and emerald weapon?

    Except it kinda ruins the flow of the dungeon if you're still mid-cutscene and hearing the boss yelling taunts at the party....and then it's dead by the time you're done with the first cutscene, and you missed the entire fight, and now there's another cutscene to sit through, except the intended impact is completely derailed since you missed that important boss and all its fight-chatter...

    Might not be important to some people, but I play FF for the story...if there was a no-skipping DF I'd gladly join it on a regular basis, both to help new players, and to actually, finally, get to play through these dungeons properly.

    Add option to play all CS at the end of the dungeon. Problem = solved!

    Nope. You can already do this in the inn if you want, but unless they add an option to replay the battles too, it's still not the same experience.

    Explain.
    1. If you toggle option "no skip cut scene" (in PF) or "first timer" option (in future DF or whatever). You will have to expect that it gonna be a long waiting. If you can have enough patient through that, then you will enjoy 100% of your story.

    2. If you not do any of those option above. You will have to expect that other 7 person who join for their share of reward doesn't want to wait you. Because you & SE didn't pay them equal amount of time they need to spend. The tome reward that you know for help newbies is just so little btw, something that not worth it if spend more than 10 min.. If they expect to wait 30 min everytimes then all the veteran will not bother to join it at all. and back to the option above that it will always be long queue that require long waiting.

    Image those OP gear that joined your party as labor workers, you can not ask them to work longer than the time they expected unless reward is equal. Currently reward is not equal to the time waiting cut-scene at all.

    Way to fix.

    Only Win-Win relationship can fix this, because if you force them to watch cut-scene then veteran will never join it in the future, and if they can skip cut-scene like this, newbies will have their first time ruined. So they need to make a huge reward, that only trigger to them when there is a first timer in the party, and that it will lock everybody to waiting that person during every cut-scene. If the amount of reward worth the time they wait, they will wait for sure. CS alone worth 15-20 min, so the extra reward for waiting must be 2-3x. Then it is happy for both side.

    I haven't done these last two dungeons yet (though I need to). I have already watched the cut scenes for them. While I can see both sides of the argument, I personally don't mind waiting around for someone who wants to stick around and watch the cut scenes. The way I see it, it's an opportunity to heed an emergency bio-break or refill my glass of generic Kool Aid (I'm too poor for name brand) or even stand and stretch and pop my knuckles and back.

    I wish I could think of a solution that's ideal for everyone, but I can't. Though I wish the impatient people who just want to speed run for tomes would be less abusive about it. As the adage goes "Slow down. Life is to be savored."
