Mom and Dad have been at work all day working some overtime to bring home the bacon. They get home sit down and start making dinner for you. A pretty decent pasta dish.
But thats not good enough for you, you need them to make it by hand, and pause at every step to show you how its done. Even though they have done this a 100 times.
They say no we are just going to make the pasta this time lil Moqi we are not going to show you how to make it again, and let you play with it. Not good enough so you start to cry.
So they decide not to feed you, and you come to these forums and complain like a baby.

Nobody's arguing that doing the right thing keeps you from being a victim of other people who aren't. Indeed, that's what this whole thread is about. But that's why the real world has laws against speeding and reckless endangerment - in order to stop the speeder from crashing into the good driver. (Note: You'll notice those rules are not set up to stop the good driver from getting in the way of the speeder. It's the other way around.) And it's why the game needs the same thing.

Um no, the speedsters are wrong, but you still have to get out of the way. Sorry thats how it is.
Guess you missed the point there. It's not that someone is driving reckless, it's that you can clearly avoid the situation, but because you refuse to adapt you get hit and die.
The inn is the way to avoid this situation, so please use it.

As for the pasta dish, how about all the cutscene watchers do a party together? You would never make it past the dungeon, because you arn't good. That's why you are watching a cutscene in the first place.
So how about being thankful you even get to run this dungeon. (be thankful you even get to eat, since you contributed nothing)

If you are doing CM or Prae for the Roulette daily rewards (or gil rewards/GC seals if you are a tank/healer) you are getting "payed" to help new players, that was the goal which saw roulette created in the first place.
So you're "payed" to do a "job"...which is to help new players....if you don't like your job, quit and don't do it.

Yeah I am seriously confused how this is still an issue. Why is anyone speed running, or attempting to speed run, these instances anymore?

Can you please cite an SE quote saying anything along those lines? My memory of SE's reasoning for Roulette was to lessen queue times by giving a reason for players who would never normally bother with these dungeons an incentive to do so. I don't recall anything about being paid to help new players. And given that SE stated it's okay to kick a player who doesn't want to follow the strategy that the rest of the I find it odd they'd state the opposite somewhere else.
