Ilvl 100 tome gear makes 2nd coil easier. The first 3 bosses can all be beaten in all ilvl 90 gear.Because nothing you've mentioned helps lessen the difficulty of the Second Coil of Bahamut except for CT2 which has the "potential" to help alleviate the difficulty of Second Coil of Bahamut.
That's why players that are behind have no other choice but to rely on getting into a good FC, use money to get carries, or submit to the echo buff.
Because it does not make any sense to have TWO ilvl110 armor sets you can only get from coil.Ok, lets say they grant other options besides second coil.
Well, besides i100 soldiery farms.
besides i90 craftables.
besides i90 from first coil.
besides i90 myth farms.
besides atma and primal options for weapons, accessories ranging from i90-i110.
Well, they are adding a new tier of gear in 2.3 from the next segment of CT, many believe it will be i100 or better.
With these many options, I do not understand why this topic is even... a topic.
It's not even "I want the best armor in game" thing. Truthfully, coil gear should all be ilvl115. While sands of time should be purchased with tomes same with unidentified tome. Ilvl of 10 does make a large impact. 5 isn't as much. You can still have better gear and your looks, but others should still be able to get more.
I speculate the next CT will have ilvl 110 loots which are the new AF2 gear with the same 1 loot per week lockout again. Last time AF+1 and allagan had the same ilvl so this could be the same. In terms of accessories, I dunno. Shiva and Ramuh are good choices but who knows when they will be coming.
some people forgot the time when there was only 300/week myth cap, no ex primals and only zenith and coil progressions.
I believe because Yoshi is pushing for everyone to touch second Coil, he's now streamlined it to where we have no choice at the moment but to touch the Coil.
I'll do it, but I don't have to like it.

Current State of End-Game Contents
I didn't ask what you had. I asked how long it took because soldiery has a weekly cap.
1.) The difference is that more than 2 pieces might be worth getting that has actual stats that are a real upgrade from ilvl90 gear outside of vit.
2.) The need for alternatives is because the 0 tolerance mechanics of coil doesn't make it easy to do simply because you have more gear. More gear, more like 2 pieces, doesn't turn a 0 tolerance mechanic into a 2 mistakes it's gg for everyone mechanic.
3.) Manage a raid, literally right now, drop your static and go into party finder, go make a static outside of your fc/ls and friends, for 2 whole months tell me how that goes make sure to record all of it good and bad.
The concept of "alleviating difficulty" seems to fly past you. Try and understand the concept first and foremost then come back with something worth discussing.
I can't find the quote but that's exactly why they changed things. Not enough people doing coil 1. We'll see if it had the intended effect.I believe because Yoshi is pushing for everyone to touch second Coil, he's now streamlined it to where we have no choice at the moment but to touch the Coil.
I'll do it, but I don't have to like it.

To have more people do coil it's pretty simple.
1.) Stop using 0 tolerance mechanics
2.) Stop making boss fights revolve around memorizing 5 rotations that happen back to back within 5 seconds.
In other words, make it faceroll easy. Well, good luck pushing that agenda. Many of us won't sign on.
