Apples and Oranges. Namely because its not like you can ask a PvE mob like The Avatar to set up a T8 run where he just lets you win. In your example, you would have to employ some sort of bug or outside 3rd party program to get the mob to cooperate with your goal.

2nd, the gear you win from PvE encounters directly affects more PvE encounters. PVP gear does not. For your example to work, you would have to be able to glamour PvE gear in PvP, which is currently impossible.

But it DOES affect PvP! Thats why it's a reward for PvP with PvP stats. PvE gear is outweighed in PvP because of morale. I used an extreme example to counter what self entitled players think they should be able to do to obtain PvP gear with zero effort. If you don't want to raid, dont expect to get High Allagan, which you can't get by abusing the system . And if you want PvP rewards, PvP! Which you SHOULD NOT be able to abuse the system to obtain either.

Again, it only affects PVP if those players who are win trading are doing it to further bolster their pvp gears. Most are not. They are doing it for glamours.

And c'mon, you could also game the system just by going into a random pvp match and losing on purpose. YOU GET POINTS FOR LOSING AND WINNING. That, in fact, takes less effort than finding 7 other people and win trading. So how exactly is someone self entitled? Because you can just as easily give ZERO EFFORT the legit way and still gain rank, gears, etc.

Can I "Win trade" in Coil 2? I only want the gear for glamor... honest!

lol you keep bringing this Coil example up like it has any relevance. It doesn't. Two completely different animals.

How is it different? Coil is the best gear in PvE. Your getting the best gear in PvP by wintrading. Your saying people of the same skill won't have an advantage in pve with better pve gear? Same thing applies to pvp aswell as the big update of frontlines coming up, those wintraders will have a clear advantage over everyone else

Because PvE is progression, but PvP should be static.

They screwed up with a ranking system. This isn't Call of Duty - a majority of players do not and will not spend a lion-share of their time in PVP - especially since the rewards are only pertinent to the player base in two areas; PVP & Glamour.

PVP gear gives you a PVP advantage... but what reason is there to PVP once you've capped your PVP rank. There isn't one besides having some fun.

Rank 1-39 might as well not exist it's the same as leveling 1-50. Rank 40 PVP gear is PVE Tome gear it doesn't take effort to get it. Nobody cares how many PVP matches you win just like nobody cares how many PVE Dungeons you've run.

You also can't talk an NPC into purposefully losing to you - which makes the entire argument ridiculous.

The desire to feel superior is the only vibe I get from the people that are so angry over this - and guess what! If you ever PVP someone who got there via trading? You'll probably trounce them faster than they ever got killed when they just stood there and let themselves die.

In short; PVP is badly designed and poorly implemented, and boohoo your ego doesn't matter.

    Sack up.

Except in PvP you can lose and still get items, in PvE you can't. So yes, it's completely different and that is the point that was being made.

If you can convince ADS to lay down and trade wins with you, then sure. Go for it.

Oh wait... people already do that with enrage strat, and SE said go for it.

So by your logic RMT and botting is fine. If the system is poorly made let the players respond to it how they like. Oh ya that does already happen and they get banned.
So if let's say a future patch happens and people who wintraded without a definite "no" from SE came get banned. They have no right to argue against it because, they knew they were using the system as it wasn't intended and just wanted to respond to the poorly made system as it was.
