Anyways, TC don't be so quick to drop a class so suddenly. If you enjoy the class keep playing it. Don't let anyone bring you down because of your playstyle. You can always create a PF/LS/FC group of ppl that are like mineded. I have already stopped tanking for the same reasons you have. Now that I have made friends and joined a FC the stress of tanking is gone. All in all, don't use DF. Just run with people you know who won't complain that you are new.

This comes up so often, but speaking from experience I really want to drive the point home that you can't ALWAYS do this. You can SOMETIME's do it if you're lucky and enough people are on / willing. I do encourage people to keep trying / waiting for a pre-formed first run, rather than just be dragged through in DF, because it's really worth the wait, but be aware this becomes particularly hard from early end game until EX primals and coil (which there are plenty of learning groups in PF for).
