Oh btw I just wanna chime in, Wars are amazing on the new content. Turn 6 I as the static warrior basically elimated the need to tank swap on the last phase by treating swarm like death sentence and just innerbeasting every time it came up and basically had no problems living a 9 acid rain stacked swarm. Got so redicilious when the healer stoneskined/adloed me I literally took NO damage from swarm. Never ran out of cooldowns either. Turn 7 wars are the go to off tank as well. I dunno how we stack up on turn 8 compared to paladin, but overall we are still viable on that turn so we can't be that far off from a paladin.

Ever since wars were buffed 2.1 we have been tanking burst damage bosses like champs. So I'm going to have to disagree with the op, if Anything wars have become equal with paladins and in some cases have surpassed them in some roles like main tank position for twintania.

WAR rules the Brayflox SR too. It's so easy to hold hate off two BLM going all out with their Flares as WAR plus the WAR can help push DPS on the bosses.

to be honest idk if i parry or not (i assume that i do) but my eyes are almost always on the hate meter or checking what buffs i need to refresh and also aoes.... so thats something i dont notice.

PLD has taken a huge hit on tanking. Through experimentation I have discovered that a when a PLD and WAR are competing for hate the WAR wins every time even against a single mob and when the PLD is better geared. SE please fix PLD!! WAR Should never steal hate against a single mob with equal gear much less with worse gear.

Why would two tanks be fighting for enmity anyway? That's a good way to get the rest of your party killed.

Sucks to be you. My WAR is a beast and parries all day long on the regular. Also WAR is the only job that can survive a Blighted Bouquet attack form T6. That is the exact opposite of weak..
