Did you put it in the comment that you will lock "black mage body"? If the rule is clear, then he shouldn't have joined into your party from the beginning when he want same item?
He never joined. He literally sent the tell to me just to inform me that I'm black listed / on some kind of list, without ever joining. It's why I make the general assumption that he was a mage who was trying to leverage himself into the party easier via threat tactics.

I've seen people make threads crying about when someone didn't play along with their pointless rules. The need/greed system is there for a reason. If you want to reserve gear, join a FC and run with them. They'll have structured rules in place. But PUGs with PF? Don't expect anyone to listen to your "conditions" in the end.
If you want to roll on gear without following an agreed upon guideline, don't join that party. I think it's most insulting to read, aknowledge, and accept the rules - and then to go off and roll Need on the items just because you feel differently about it. And the GM's (As shown on P.6) agree with that sentiment, which I am grateful for.

Though I will say, as long as your opinion is only dissenting, and you don't use that to try and roll need on the item, I have no problem with you. ^^

Neither side has the right to force their playstyle onto the other. Like others have said - this person has the right to do and make whatever 'list' they want. Just as I have the right to make whatever party I want, so long as I am honest and up-front about it. In this case, I was - A full notice in PF stating "N>G, Caster body locked" with block-out options on casters (MNK/DRG/BRD only.)

When someone sent me a tell saying, "Hey, I only need the caster boots - mind if I join?" I invited them. I trusted them because just as I was, they were honest and up front about what they wanted. They effectively got to lock the caster boots to themselves.
