I've always wondered, would it be too outlandish to think that one day we will end up killing the Mothercrystal? I mean, how many times in various Final Fantasy games have we ended up killing a God that we thought was on our side the entire time? Honestly, I don't even think Bahamut is the bad guy in all of this. Maybe he's just a neutral being that simply wants to be left the hell alone, but instead he keeps getting trapped due to various wars. Maybe having Bahamut summoned completely somehow sucks out just enough aether that way both Zodiark and the Mothercrystal can't occupy the world, maybe he's the force that balances out the two? If the Allagans were pro-Mothercrystal and the Ascians were Pro-Zodiark, it would ultimately be in their best favor to send Bahamut out into space to allow their respective Gods to come forth.

The twist that Bahamut was in the meteor was quite the shock, virtually anything is possible. I don't know, it's just fun to think about.

I'm surprised we haven't met any dwarves going down underneath Eorzea in the Binding Coil. Lali-ho!

Could we have to gather the Crystals of Dark in a future expansion to restore balance to the world? Will we learn who summons Shiva? Will Minfillia ever put on more clothes?! Who knows what will happen in the future of Final Fantasy XIV!

Could also be Fafnir. Other dragons are possible. FFXI had Ouryu, so maybe he'll make another appearance here.

Mayhaps they will make a new primal.

No matter how many sites Ive checked I cannot find information for the Goblins primal. By all intents and purposes, they don't seem to have one!

Unless someone knows differently and could enlighten me.

As far as I've seen, Goblins seems to lie somewhere between civilized people and beastmen. We haven't seen any cities of theirs, or even anything larger than a small camp with a few tents around a campfire, but that's not to say that they don't have more somewhere else (maybe underground?). They obviously make treks to the cities of man, and used to trade with them in the past, so they seem to be more likeable and understanding than their other beastmen. Also, Goblins seem to have more advanced technology than the other beastmen. Maybe in the future if we get a goblin beast tribe quest we'll see more of their society and even a city.

It is suggested in a leve that the Goblins are currently building a city on Vylbrand inside a hollowed-out mountain - they're selling the ore to the smiths of Limsa Lominsa.

Goblins could literally summon 'Goblin' much as the Moogles summoned a 'King Moogle'. Massive, goofy, floppy ear encounter that requires you use an emote to /throw cheese at it at certain points during the fight to keep it from enraging and just wiping your entire party. Every member has to participate, if anyone misses their moment (during a long cast time possibly), instant party wipe.

Thing about Goblins as a species, they hate the land/air, it's explained that their masks are filters so that they can breath in our atmosphere. They belong underground (as they were in XI and thrived), a very industrial type of beastmen that rivals even the Kobolds. While the Kobolds are the miner and ore gathering bunch, the Goblins are more about actually applying the ore to refinery's and making something of it.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Goblins were discovered to have created a network of passages beneath the surface linking them to all other parts of the map, which would make their patron Primal something that can travel designated routes, through tunnels, at high rate. Doomtrain.

Or, if they decided to go with a mechanical sense, which Doomtrain does fit, but possibly more mobile in the less fixed track sense and arent afraid to borrow from FF13 - Hecatoncheir. Those two, aside from Alexander which I just cant see because I honestly put him showing up somewhere else, fairly unexpected, but also..not.

Imagine a battle with Doomtrain though. The arena you're surrounded by a circular track, with tunnels on multiple ends where the tracks diverge. Doom stops for moments on the tracks where the battle can rage on, as it does with Leviathan currently, then it speeds off down a tunnel, reappearing elsewhere. Even the arena itself can have tracks on it going through the entire arena from multiple angles. So basically Leviathans rushes, but instead of N/S E/W you can have NE/NW SE/SW paths as well. With the occasional moment where the train will stop in the middle of the track, separating your forces, releasing enemies from inside that spill out that you have to take down, moving into phases.

Could be rather interesting, though Doom is still a bit too dark for the Goblins I think. A bit too spectral still.

And if you're curious, I could truly see them pull Alexander out, with the Garleans. An elder type of status, given what he typically is, but here's the reason.

Alexander's signature move is Judgment. While a Holy based attack, it is, still, an act of judgment against the forces its pit against. Now, Alexander has always been seen as the 'Good' guy on the side of things in every instance, however, Good and Evil are in the eyes of the beholder.

The Garlean Empire truly believe what they are doing is right and justified in doing so. They are conquering, crushing opposition, yes, a bit sadistic and perhaps a little extreme in their methods, certainly. But they believe in their cause completely, indoctrinated and brainwashed? Well yes, but regardless, still believe they are Right. Gaius himself wanted to "cleanse" Eorzea of the 'heathen deities'. Thing about that is - if you're referring to one sect's deity as a heathen, then that would mean that you worship something yourself, which you feel is superior and proper.

Being mechanical in nature in every way it's been shown, it suits Garlean's style with the Magitek (granted I believe that Alexander would originally come from the Allag period as all things of such intricate and elaborate designs do. Binding Coil shows just how advanced they are/were).

I could easily see the encounter going that we get pit up against that Elder Primal, eventually defeating it and in some fashion, attaining it, using their own weapon against them as it realigns itself with us and in turn judges the Garlean forces instead as being the one's in the "wrong". But anything that grand of scale, because it could easily turn the tide of a war, possibly even going as far as to liberate an entire continent from Imperial rule, would happen much further down the road.

Since we're on the topic of Primals.....who would the Qiqirn worship? I think there's less info on them than there is on the goblins....and we let more of them into our cities!
