I'm wondering if they could ever be turned into playable races...

Shiva has been *highly speculated* somewhere to be the Giant's Primal, and you forgot to mention Ramuh coming down the pipe sooner or later!

Or it could be a race of fat owl-like beatmen that was found by XIVdb....

oh sorry must have been mistaken then in 1.0 when you looked in distance at Ishgard it looked just like the wreck with him wrapped around it and it also showed it in opening C/s in 1.0 but i may be wrong just remember standing out there and looking at it all the time.

You're confusing Ishgard (in Coerthas) with the wreck of the Agrius (In Mor Dhona). The dragon is in Mor Dhona, and he was not a primal, he was "just" a dragon.

Remember, nothing says you have to be a beastmen to summon a primal. Just desperate.

And that goes fantastic with the idea that maybe the Twelve are Primals, as opposed to actual gods.

But they probably will expand on the Gigas/Giants next, whether they introduce another new Beastmen race as well.

Well, some of the Ala Mhigons did try to summon their god, Rhalgr the Destroyer.

I'm going to have to agree with the idea that Tiamat would be the dragon primal since the only other well known dragons of final fantasy lore are dead (midgarsormr) or taken (bahamut). The only other option I can think of would be Nidhogg, but I believe he took the mantle of king of dragons after midgarsormr died over silvertear lake.

Lahabrea did try to convince the Ala Mhigan refugees that they could summon their God the same way a Primal is summoned. I've personally speculated the Mothercrystal is a Primal too given how the Primals talk about her.

well the lighting of the room show the lalafell without a shadow. Something that Ascians have been mentioned to lack.

What cutscene was that in? I want to see for myself
