Players who join PF are trying and not being lazy (as some on this thread suggested they should). But you'd be mad at them because they were bad and held your group back. You're worried about them buying carries because they'll probably (at least at first) try to win without buying a carry (who has that much gil to throw around after all). Then you're back in the same situation - being held back by people who, though they may be trying to win with all their might, just aren't good enough.

If they aren't good enough to beat the content though (or can't find groups good enough who can, paid or otherwise) how long do you think they'll continue to play? Is this your goal, that the bad players be so far behind you that they'll never slow your own progress? I guess players who quit will be the farthest behind you but I doubt that would be very good for the long-term health of the game.
