treat it as a seperate topic. PVP balancing should never effect PVE stuff. Especially with just a handful of ppl playing it. Lowering Scathe dmg in 2.1 cause of PVP was already borderline and I doubt that +20 potency it had before 2.1 would have made BLMs OP...
I'm actually top dps on every class that I play. I've played with that BLM and wasn't impressed thus I place no value on his analysis or data. I rely on my own experience to make decisions more than information forum posts.You must be at the bottom of DPS if you think that way. Puro Strider spreadsheets put SpellSpeed almost on par with Crit. Determination is the least favorable stat you want.

Because you judge one person unimpressive don't generalize the job. I'm pretty sure you never took an analysis Crit/Det VS SpellSpeed/Crit. I've been in this scenario many times as a BLM. I always did better than the Crit/Det BLM no matter the kind of fight.
I have (after food) 546 SS, 482 Crit and 253 Det
I sit in T8 challenging the Monk DPS with my stats, I don't have to move at all so it helps. Then I go in T9 sitting with other DPS doing really great. Many group asked their BLMs to change job because of mobility issues, it's a gift and require a lot of practice to counter the BLM mobility issue. BLMs really need to master Aetherial Manipulation and there's a perfect macro for it.

1. Allow firestarter to stack and increase duration a touch(I.e 15 seconds)
2.make thundercloud only (not thunder 3 normal cast) a aoe and increase to 10% chance(maybe a bit O.P)
3. Put scathe back to damage pre 2.1
Not suggesting all get implemented but 1/2 would be nice

1. BLMs has been asking that. I think it's currently too strong but if it does happen. I hope it keeps the same time and stacks to 2 to avoid overbursting phases.
2. I don't think we need more AoE. 10% would mean we'd have less chance to hard cast Thunder II to refresh, it's definitely strong.
3. That would make sense. I avoid scathe at all cost right now.
Apocatastasis needs a rework. The fire resist don't work agains't Ifrit's flames. Most useless buff in the game.
You know aetherial manipulation is actually one spell that can be improved opon, i really dislike the fact i need to target a party player in order to even use it and its 30 second cd does not help much at all. Our mobility can be improved if this would just teleport us 15 yalms where we are facing and on a 15 to 20 second cd.

Heh, maybe cut the recast to 15s, reduce the range down to 10y, make it ground targeted, and just make it the BLM "skillshot" ability.
Though it would be horrible for console players. =P
o-o Really... I don't have any issues with Aetherial Manipulation...
Well, imagine if Aetherial Manipulation was like Freeze, but instant, ogcd, and just required you to click some spot on the ground that you wanted to go to... I really cant see that going smoothly with a controller instead of a mouse.
