That's all well and good, but if the content isn't in 1.18, they're gonna have a bunch of bored adventurers on their hands at least until there is something to fill the gap left by SP parties. The bottom line is people want to rank up, and they are basically taking away one of the avenues to do so without replacing it immediately (as far as we know) that's not gonna create a good atmosphere IMO.

Agreed... let's hope quest hubs are up to snuff

Also keeping in mind, for us that kept playing since launch, we are always gonna be ahead of the curve, ahead of the content and inevitably get bored faster

Although I haven't heard crap about hamlet defense since early beta (even then I think it was only rumor) that would be fantastic if it came in 1.19.

If that was the case, that would be exciting. The hamlet defense system was apart of the old teams plan for early 2011. While it, or a similar system might be in the works there has been little word about anything large scale PvE that has been talked about... I think that question was brought up in one of the recent interviews, and the answer is that they can't talk about it just yet, but hopefully we'll hear something soon.

I would do the opposite. Very little is being added end-game (i.e., 1 dungeon) with no cap raise for at least 1 year. Most of the content being added is for earlier ranks.

This is one of the reasons I've mostly halted my play, and what little time I spend is spent on evening out the spread of my levels.

Same, hell I might reroll/make an alt for PS3 release if the game changes drastically between then and now (which I somewhat expect).

remember the being able to pull mobs long distances was removed because of them being afraid of the burn parties returning in xiv. the mobs do not chase you to the end of the zone for a camp anymore. they only follow you for a short distance. once again it is what people hope will be put in to replace the leveling now, but nobody knows what, if anything, will actually be put in.

Thats what im saying. Thats why i said i would like to get "regular" SP-Camps, where you are able to pull the mobs, instead of Roaming. Well, since the Mainfocus wont be Leves anymore, SE have to replace it with something.

I'm sure they will at some point or there will be nobody left in the game. lol You can't just take away the main focus of the game and not replace it. The real questions are 'how quickly will they replace it?' and 'how good of a replacement is it?'

If it takes 'til 1.19 to get a decent replacement, I have a bad feeling about the future of the game given the time between the last decent patch and 1.18. Sad but true.
