Players can buy the runsActually, the Ex primals represent the larger problem in SE's endgame design. Having old content gate new content effectively prevents new players from catching up. If you didn't down titan ex pre 2.2, good luck ever seeing Levi ex. Hopefully SE changes this system, otherwise imagine needing to clear coils 1&2 to see coil 3. Or downing 4-5 ex primals to reach the current one.No problem there xD
Echo can certainly help in Titan EX. Instead of stacking on top of one another and creating a superplume you can stand in a line and even if someone isn't quite on time they'll only eat their own plume and with the echo buff they'll have the HP to live through it. I don't see nearly as much in the way of people being Landslided as I do people being plumed.
you already have to clear c1 to get to c2.... and it makes no diff they have to clear 1&2 for c3. if you cant beat t5 you cant beat t6+. besides they give echo. by the time t10+ comes out, t5 will be at max echo, and t6 will be at the 10%. if they cant beat t5 with max echo they have no chance at doing t10+ LOL So the point of it being "gated" works out. Besides Coil is a storyline. no use skipping the story. Coil makes sense and should stay the way it is.
primal stuff is another matter. they dont have to gate that i guess.
though the solution for it all is join a raiding fc or form/join a static to learn and down content.
I'm still stuck on Garuda EX just because there's no one doing them any more. I've been without a computer for over a month, so getting back into the game is fun and all, but I'm still gated from doing anything really new until I can off Garuda EX... and I'm not even at Titan, lol... ;_;
Joining groups is nearly next to impossible. And I can't find any good, reliable FCs to join on Excalibur.
I'm pretty sure buffing the primal weapons ilvl to say 105 will make it worked again
The real problem with the fights IMO is finding people who won't leave at a single wipe or insult people despite it having been labeled a learning party, and that wipes were expected. This happened the other day btw, I still won't forgive the tank for those comments (FC has blacklisted him).
So during the recent event with Yoshi in Japan, apparently something was slipped in regarding the Ifrit weapons, or just Primal weapons in general. He said 'hold onto them', to what end, no one knows. Possibly, they may see an upgrade of some fashion in a future patch. Similar methods can be done with the Primal Ex weapons as well. How relevant it would be compared to other weapons already available, who knows, just food for thought.
Honestly, I got my original clear, got the little bit of lore that went with it and have been fine since. But the point I'm making is that just because content is not being as actively used now, doesn't mean it wont get additions later. Case in point - FATEs and Atma farming.
and good luck with that, because of the quite toxic community if you're unfamiliar with a fight, not many are gonna be arsed to help you. Not everyone has willing FC, either.
I do agree that it's part of the problem with SE's model of player progression. You need cape westwind (who does that anymore?) to continue with the storyline. You need to beat Garuda (lol lowdps) and Titan (lol lag) to get to Ifrit (lol easy primal), and this is all old content. Newbies looking to get to the new content will get stonewalled pretty quick.
Then they should have befriended people that are skilled and friendly. There are plenty of them out there that would be willing to help but because you keep seeing the community as negative as a whole, you'll never find it. Also, are they supposed to unlock Garuda and Titan just so the newbies can experience Ifrit? No. There are certain progression in each fight. If you can't beat Garuda, good luck with Titan. It's not that old of content when it was released a bit more than 4 months ago.
You probably have never played LoL if you think this is a toxic community.
