I usually look at situations where I replace a ragequit as a challenge.

I think they should only give the bonus if you -dont- use In Progress.

I always check 'join in progress' group when using the DF, just 9/10 it drops me in a new party from dungeon start :/
They need to fix that IMO as I too have noticed that when I try Q-ing up to help a friend or FC member who needs a tank it tends to drop me in new groups instead of where I'm needed, rather annoying.

I always give it a shot anywayDo not want.
As a healer I NEVER click in-progress unless I'm supposed to help ls/fc friends.
Why? Because most of the times I did in-progress I ended up in parties where the healer left because the party was utterly hopeless with no chance of getting through the dungeon.
It's not always possible to carry a group.Sometimes all it needs is a large dose of patience, and people regardless of how hopeless they are they might actually learn one or two things of what you are doing. If I could help them complete the duty then awesome, otherwise I leave after everyone agrees that its just not working.

You won't get more tanks and healers by placing weird restrictions on them. This is a bad idea.
However, I think "in progress" should be checked by default for everyone though. You should be able to uncheck it if you want and still get roulette rewards, but there's really no reason why it shouldn't be the default.
They need to do a check, based on how close the party is to the end, and how long left on the timer. Between two dungeons that have 2/4, the one with less time on the timer should ALWAYS take priority IMO, that run is far closer to failing than the other. As for 0/3 and 2/3, that should also be dependent on the timer IMO. If the group for 2/3 is at the final boss with 30 minutes compared to the 0/3 group that's either at the first boss or still at the entrance to the dungeon with 40 minutes left, the 0/3 should take priority since they'll come the closest to failing due to their location and the timer. They need to fix in-progress queues first. I can't count the number of times where a FC mate asked for help in-progress, I check the box, and then get stuck with a new group that's trying to form (and then suddenly I'm the scumbag for repeatedly hitting cancel when I'm trying to help an in-progress group not abandon).

[sarcasm] Because it's such a good idea to get rid of what little incentive this already brings for a tank or healer to do a dungeon, right? [/sarcasm]
Why do you want this? Are you jealous or something? Do you feel the 4.5k gil people make from this will absolutely cripple a game in which gil has so little meaning it just helps pay for expenses and repairs?
Original Poster, go play a healer or tank instead of your lazy-mode DPS and get back to us. Then you may tell us it's fair or not that we get a little more incentive to help you lazy bums out.
They need to fix the roulette with partners 1st. That withdrawn from party people keep getting could be me, Fishing for my hubbies Queue.
I personally like running the whole thing, Even more so when I'm not on a level 50 job.You won't get more tanks and healers by placing weird restrictions on them. This is a bad idea.

Start 90% threw means I miss out of gil and EXP.

Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
I know:s but if your suggestion was put into practice, the amount of fishing would increase 100 fold.
