So we shouldn't push for better. Just let it alone cause it's not as bad as it could be.
These are not very good reasons to discredit what Yoshi-P is doing or saying. He may have good intentions when he says stuff, but he has failed to follow through many times when it comes to content and release dates, and yes I say him, I know there is a whole development team involved, but he is the one jetting around the world getting all the credit, he is the lead producer, so when something doesn't happen how or when he says it will, then the blame lands on him.
He said Crystal Tower would be ready at release, it wasn't.
He said Free Company and personal housing would be either at release or shortly after, we still have yet to see personal housing.
He said the first patch would roll out in late October, it finally came creeping in in December.
He said we would have free company alliances, we don't.
He said the second part of the zodiak quest would be in 2.25, it wasn't.
He said we would be able to level our chocobos as any job we could have, instead we have the dumbed down 3 tree version.
He said they would have new DirectX compatibility when the PS4 version hit, we don't.
He said FC housing would be cheap enough for 2-3 people to afford from leveling 1 class to 50, we saw how that went down.
I'm sure there's plenty more I'm not thinking of right now, but you get the point.
Now I know all these things he has said and hasn't followed through on weren't directly his fault, but he is the boss, so ultimately it is up to him to get stuff done, if he can't do that, maybe he should be doing a few less PR interviews talking about stuff he can't control, and get back to the offices where he can make sure stuff is getting done.
You're basically calling him out on various delays to specific patches or content, when this is a common occurrence in any standard MMO. The process for creating content is a very tedious process, and I believe players really don't give MMO development teams enough credit when it comes to this. Even despite the fact, when he knows something will be delayed, he gives advance notice and apologies for the fact.
The point you should be looking at is the fact that regardless of delays, he outright tells players what they will see in the future, and very rarely deviates from it, unlike other producers & developers. That's called transparency, and that is what players like to see. He deserves an extra accolade to have to not only clean up the mess Tanaka made in the previous game, but also create a new game alongside it and make most of the development decisions in it's initial production.
That's here nor there now, I guess. We are not way past the fact that ARR is a new, better game. We should be looking forward to changes that will be made in future patches.

That's your opinion, my opinion is mine, there is no absolute right and wrong in the matter, I for one think that if he can't hold his development team to dates, detail, and depth in content, he should be concentrating on that instead of talking about how good it can be. Were you happy with how FC housing released? I wasn't it, it was half ass implemented, and horribly limited due to their own server space, another flaw to your glorious Yoshi, he didn't anticipate how much server space would be needed to do it properly, so they half ass it instead. How about beastmen dailies, Yoshi's broad swing at open world content, has a good base to it, but needs more depth as far as rewards in my opinion, 30 days of questing to buy an overpriced minion mount and some dyes just seems kinda blah to me. Now some might say that this can be expanded on and made better in the future, but if that's so, then this is just another example of something being pushed out half done just so something would be there. Do you remember when ready check was introduced, having people spam it so you had a giant window pop up every 15 seconds while you were trying to kill Titan? Their excuse was they didn't anticipate people would abuse a system like that, that's BS so much of this game was built around people not being able to abuse those systems, why don't you think you can friend or mail stuff to an alt, because RMTs would abuse it. The ready check system was something that should have been in at release, wasn't then was rushed in later again in a half assed manner. You say it is Yoshi that deserves extra accolades, well then he deserves the blame, you can't have someone in charge be responsible for all the good, and then just dismiss the bad, because it is common in MMOs, if Yoshi was so great, why can't he manage to overcome these common problems, if his genius is so far reaching, why can't he develop solutions to these type things?
i'm not wassting time with animus quest, they'll nerf it.
It sounds like you've been giving yourself reasons to bash Yoshi instead of having constructive criticism. There's no need to call him "your glorious Yoshi" -- I respect the man, but I don't worship him. He has his faults, just like any other human being. That's your opinion, my opinion is mine, there is no absolute right and wrong in the matter, I for one think that if he can't hold his development team to dates, detail, and depth in content, he should be concentrating on that instead of talking about how good it can be. FC housing was implemented just how it was supposed to be implemented. He even went further and sped up the price cuts (or for some servers slashed the price) on the land deeds as well because he saw people weren't getting land as fast. You also don't know what they are working with when it comes to server space, or how they utilize it when it comes to housing, so it's just another reason you are creating to bash him, yet again. The same thing goes for personal housing -- they have their method set on how to implement it, but no one outside of that dev team knows in what way they will implement personal housing, or the number of coding/planning hours it will take.
Beastman dailies are indeed lackluster, but that doesn't mean it will never be expanded upon. It seems to me he simply added it to the game so people would have a daily quest they could tackle, and receive some EXP/Seals/Reward from them, with something nice at the end of their current quest lines. Regardless of the fact, the content isn't really "lackluster" unless a considerable amount of people are sending in complaints or suggestions on it. I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about beastman dailies, actually.
Ready check isn't a good arguing point because they quickly fixed the problem after it's addition.
Developers in any field or business aren't all-seeing beings, they can't automatically know how something is going to be used, despite hours or days (or months) of testing, until they actually implement it and monitor the situation and/or get feedback. That's how the process works for everything they implement.
I'm gonna guess you don't like Yoshi-P for whatever notion you have created for yourself as of current. You're forgoing rational thinking when it comes to the development process of an MMO to call him out on petty things, most of what he's already completed work on or about to complete.

Bye!
Just because a few people complain about it doesn't make it broken, nor need fixing.
That said, they HAVE said they are taking feedback on board and even delayed the next step of the quests so as to not FURTHER stack the pressure on casuals.
GLHF!

Say what you will, you said anything he says can be taken as literal gold and truth, I pointed out some instances where that isn't the case. I'm saying if he can't hold his team to do what he says when he says it will happen, he doesn't need to talk so much.

And for the record, Yoshi-p said he has done more than 300 Fate and he is still at 0 atma![]()
