Whats with people. Its SE's game. Its their creative vision. People these days feel so entitled to get everything they ask for. I miss the days when you picked up a game. It was what it was and you either liked it or moved on. Now all people do is complain and ask for changes like their opinion matters at all. News Flash, It doesn't. If you don't like the game, move on, but stop trying to make it into your vision and let SE roll with their own.

People pay money to play this game. When you're paying for something you are "entitled" to get what you feel you're paying for. Many folks, myself included, feel the direction SE has taken in regard to the Atma quest is lazy and we are worried the product we are paying for is changing for the worse. Rather than giving up and leaving, we are voicing our concerns so that something may be done about it. If SE's decision is to keep at as is, then we have our answer and we decide if we wan't to continue to give SE our money or not.

Since I have enjoyed the many months and hours I've put into the game, I don't wish to just "move on." If everyone was like you we'd still be playing 1.0.

If the players opinion didn't matter then we would be still be playing 1.0 or maybe nothing at all.

LOL.. Byeeee. I don't even have my Relic yet after 9 months. I am so busy doing FC housing with my FC leader. Imagine the grind.

im also not happy about the games direction tbh.
The animus weapon is only one part though.

No matter what content we get its either
1) super easy and short, like all new dungeons are
2) based on AOE circle evasion - primals - which just don't work for too many people, yet locking them out or frustrating them. And it's no fun at all just to memorize and time
things that didnt happen yet - it's the only mmo i've ever played that works like that, yet doesnt get the servers going good enough to handle it for most players. I have no problem with any other mmo.
3) the lockout for a little bit new content is a slap in the face for a P2P game. 1 week. that is beyond me. And it divides the community more and more.
4) gear gets outdated way too fast - and even better, the way SE designs content, most gear/content is outdated the very second it comes live....
5) the main mission in the 2.2 update was just plain BAD.

so you wanna progress? soldier cap at 450, - see you again next week

so you wanna progress? grind dungeons (which are too easy and predictable to be fun after the 3rd time) and get anima weapon, YEY.

You wanna do primals? Nobody does them anymore since all are farming leviX
if you are not on Levi already then no chance for you to progress through the lag VS Player- primal x fights.

Due to the extremely fast progression. I just wonder what happens to new players. Nobody wants to do things with them. Ive seen people leave dungeons cause ppl are not geared enough (enough for the dungeon but not enough for them...)

I've started many mmos like 2-3 years after the release, yet i had fun doing the content (all of it) and could progress and get in line with higher lvls.
The games content is designed to be outdated too fast. Why? i really don't get it. It's really bad design if content is not balanced so its useful for a longer time.

There are other games which offer 3-4-5 way of endgame progression, MEANINGFUL ways. They all have a grind component in them, but mostly challenges, either in group, raids, or solo.
ARR is grind (with cap) and content lockout (WEEK).

And it still isnt better. That is really bad. One thing i will def. never do when i come back after the expansion: pay 6 months in advance haha

If there is anything I have learned from playing this game, visiting the forums and all that jazz, is that one cannot believe that Yoshi-P will do what he says he will until it actually happens.

"One cannot believe Yoshida"? Are you kidding? He's like the most transparent JP game producer around right now. He even comes through on promises he makes even up to a year before initial development. You can take any word he says at any interview as literal gold and truth at this point.

He may have good intentions when he says stuff, but he has failed to follow through many times when it comes to content and release dates, and yes I say him, I know there is a whole development team involved, but he is the one jetting around the world getting all the credit, he is the lead producer, so when something doesn't happen how or when he says it will, then the blame lands on him.

He said Crystal Tower would be ready at release, it wasn't.
He said Free Company and personal housing would be either at release or shortly after, we still have yet to see personal housing.
He said the first patch would roll out in late October, it finally came creeping in in December.
He said we would have free company alliances, we don't.
He said the second part of the zodiak quest would be in 2.25, it wasn't.
He said we would be able to level our chocobos as any job we could have, instead we have the dumbed down 3 tree version.
He said they would have new DirectX compatibility when the PS4 version hit, we don't.
He said FC housing would be cheap enough for 2-3 people to afford from leveling 1 class to 50, we saw how that went down.
I'm sure there's plenty more I'm not thinking of right now, but you get the point.

Now I know all these things he has said and hasn't followed through on weren't directly his fault, but he is the boss, so ultimately it is up to him to get stuff done, if he can't do that, maybe he should be doing a few less PR interviews talking about stuff he can't control, and get back to the offices where he can make sure stuff is getting done.

It's not black or white. Why wouldn't someone who enjoys this game have the desire to see things about it improved, or feel concerned when it's producer slips up?

The problem of ppl seeing what is wrong more then what is done right. And the problem with some ppl expecting others to be perfect when they themselves are not. Real life must be hard.
