Time to move on since Square Enix does not listen to its Constituents

After being a loyal Subscriber for over 9 months to FF14 ARR, I am sad to say that to me its time to suspend my account over the absolute disregard SE has to not listening to its player base. For the past 5 weeks there have been numerous post from players like me complaining over the Animus quest line on not being based on skill but by Random Number Generator. My hopes were that they would have fixed this issue with patch 2.25 were dashed when at the last minute they decided against it for no good apparent reason other than to keep a artificial roadblock onto the game to force players to slow down progression. Understandable that many other MMO's out in the market do the same thing but after years of playing games such as World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Star Trek Online, and numerous other games, FF14 ARR is the only one I have ever seen were they deliberately create a instance of progression not based on skill but on RNG to this extreme! To all those who are reading this that have earned your Animus, good for you....if you were that player who spent 100 plus hours farming low level fates that provided no skill development or just reward, was it really worth it? To some who answer yes, really??? You really felt that you earned something for your 100+ hours spent farming when another player spent only 3-4 hours not because of diligence but because of luck and bad game design...really??? To all the players who got their Animus within 3-4 hours, congratulations on being one of the very lucky players out there that got Animus from RNG and not from skill or determination like other MMO's have to earn gear! To me, game director Naoki Yoshida took the reigns of FF14 and made it one of the most fantastic game experiences I have had in a long time. Continued below....

All MMOs have always been RNG. If youre that into MMOs its unthinkable youre raging so much. Come on, I've for example raided Dragonsoul for close to a year and didn'T drop ANY of the 2 handed weapons on my DK-tank. And you couldn't even try to farm those, so who cares about fates? Youre one of those ppl destroying every MMO because you want everything without any investment. So thanks for leaving FF XIV ARR and making the community that much better

Yes because to me the current Atma takes as much if not less time for many that had issues getting the relic weapon when it was released.

Relic: Get "broken weapon", craft and meld weapon, kill chimera, do Admador Keep, kill beastmen, kill Hydra, do primal hard modes, purchase item in Mhor Dona.
Atma: Get 12 atma pieces through fate

Doing the Relic Reborn quest consisted in the luck of getting that materia if you were doing it yourself. Unless you had the money to buy the materia and offering the crafters fee which back then wasn't as simple as doing it now due to the various and elaborate additional means of making gil.

Zenith: 3x Thavnairian Mist. (Myth capped at 300 per week)
Animus: Buy book, complete the books pre-requisites, rinse and repeat.

So it ends up being subjective because from my point of view the overall process isn't as "free" as you make it out to be.

I'd agree to the fact that there needs to be alternatives that don't revolve around low drop rates. Yet I don't agree with your tantrum. If you don't want to spend the time and effort like everyone else then you have no right to complain that others have it because they did in fact spend the time and effort to finish it unlike you.

Find me proof that someone legitimately got an Animus weapon in less than 4 hours and I will pay for your sub for a year.

But to me after the success this game has become it seems that Yoshi P has handed control back after 6 months of success to the old crew from FF14 1.0 who made all the bad decisions then to what is currently trending now with their bad decisions now being made. It is my hope that SE does read this and others who have the same opinion in their player base in regards to the direction this game is going so they fix this issue and prevent future mistakes such as this to be prevented in the future. Square Enix, noone likes a grind fest in which you gain neither skill development or reward, I remember playing Final Fantasy 1 on the NES and doing that, but this isn't the USA in 1987. It is easy for me to fathom that with all the development power your design team has in place, you would be capable of creating a more enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding experience that not only would make us have growth in skill, but also to make us feel justly rewarded for time spent in Eorzea!

Good decision mate, this is the only thing a player can do to put pressure back on SE, stop paying
