There are some incredible leaps in logic being made here. We will almost certainly not get a level cap increase until an expansion... where would we level, after all? They're not going to add several big leveling zones in a regular patch, we'll have to wait for an expansion for those.
We will see new primals, sure, but that certainly does not mean that summoners will get pets for them right off the bat. We'll possibly see Ramuh in 2.3, but don't expect summoners to get a pet for them until a level cap increase, probably in 3.0 (which I imagine will come after 2.4 or 2.5).
Being almost a full time summoner i'm expecting the new pets are awesome and i want to see the balances too.
I don't do pvp since being a summoner i get ko off the bat.. yeah..
Since the new class/job will be something we dont expect im seeing.. a ninja/gunner healer xD
All they need to do is give it some passive bonuses. Maelstrom controls X, Maelstrom items cost less GC Seals. Twin Adder controls Y, all Twin Adder allied FCs get cheaper actions. Nothing that would massively impact gameplay, but something players would want to get. If Frontlines is anything like Cyrodiil, it wouldn't entirely be PvP either. Cyrodiil had PvE elements, if one faction controlled an area, NPCs of that faction would guard it. Same thing could buffer numbers in Frontlines.
Assuming PvP becomes playable to the layman, then the gear itself also provides a viable incentive. OK, you get Moral instead of a useful stat, but it's still iLv100 gear that isn't behind a weekly lockout. In that sense PvP gear could fill the same spot as crafted gear if the developers allow it.
I hope the gunner class's second job allows me to be a "man with the machine gun".
We did salvage all those machine guns from the Garlean empire right?

Excited about the upcoming Ninja/Thief class and Summoner pet rebalancing. Hope they turn them into something more than glorified DOTs.
Frontlines plox, fast. and please it better be realm vs realm instead of an alterac valley-ish minigame T.T
Hmmm... a gun class which is not what we think it is....
So I guess we get shoot our teammates instead.
Heli's Black Market open for business. Sells black market items for your exotic needs.
closed for business till further notice
lol maybe they mean gunblade. That would be amusing.
I do feel like people may be dissapointed since the bullet point and this statement conflict with one another
"Nakamura-san asks when’s new jobs coming.
YoshiP saying you said earlier you mentioned you saw Yugiri’s face, it’s related to that,
Nakamura-san then says Thancred suddenly uses two daggers too, or how about the previous XIV where you use a gun and gets taken away.
YoshiP saying we’re going to do gun, but it’s not something what everyone is thinking it’s in the plans, it might be earlier than what everyone is expecting. It’s not 2.3 but it’s not too far out. We still got E3 and other events we need to keep good infos."
Which sounds more like it won't be coming in 2.3 but will be coming earlier than expected. Whoever did create the bullet point might of just seen the key words and thought "Class" "gun" "dagger" "2.3" and "earlier" and didn't realize that it actually said "it's NOT 2.3" but it's NOT to far off.
Just noticed a lot of people seem to think classes may come in 2.3 but looking at the notes from the current trans it doesn't look like that will be the case so I don't think people should be getting their hopes up to much.
Gonna comment on these with the assumption that they are true. If they are not true, just ignore what I have to say on it.
Right on! I'm, like, 99% sure that the Dagger CLASS won't be either Ninja or Thief, but something like "Rogue" or "Brigand". The reason I say that is because, going with the pattern, there is not a single class in the game that shares its name with a relevant job from previous Final Fantasy titles. That being said, I do think Ninja and Thief will be Dagger JOBS that branch off the class rather than the class themselves for this reason. As for gun jobs, all I can think of is X-2 style Gunner and Gun Mage (which is a Blue Mage... with Guns), but we'll see more on that on June 10th, I guess! I wonder if we'll see a healer-type Chemist job for gun-users? That could be interesting!Gun and Dagger class/jobs were both confirmed and coming sooner than people think. Apparently soon after 2.3. (He said we are saving this info for E3-Announcements, looking forward to June 10th!)
The gun class isn't what people are expecting it to be.
I never played 1.0, so I have no idea what these are, but judging from the excitement of veteran players, I guess this is a good thing! =DFrontlines are aiming to be in 2.3!
Well Yoshi mentioned that no one would get new abilities until the level cap rises, so I'm gonna go with that. Also, this pretty much confirms that Ramuh is the next Primal, in my eyes.Yoshi said Summoners will be getting Leviathan AND Ramuh pets, no mentioned when they would arrive.
Not sure how Black Mage needs buffing, really, other than to shorten casting times to make dodging easier. *shrug* As for Summoner pet rebalancing, I'm not in a position to comment on that.Black Mage buffs and Summoner pet rebalancing to make others useful coming.
I wonder about Yugiri... her tail was more reptilian than a Miqo'te's, I remember. Maybe she's an FFXIV-variant of Bangaa or something?Yugiri's face was apparently shown to Nakamura, who gasped. No images as of yet.
Ooh, very exciting! Also, I can see the Gold Saucer being the new "IT" place for hanging out and for events so we don't have to all squeeze into Mih Ketto's Ampitheatre in Gridania. Also, Chocobo Racing is gonna be interesting. I wonder how it's gonna be implemented pre-2.4 (since, iirc, Chocobo Breeding is gonna be in 2.4).Gold Saucer will be BIG. He wants the games to encompass more than just playing with friends. (Hints at match making and chocobo races.)
Interesting concept, though as long as the design intricacies are equal to what they already are for housing (moving and rotating things exactly where you want them instead of being static squares and 45-90 degree rotations only), I'll be content with that! Though ultimately, I do just want my own house.Personal rooms for your FC housing mentioned again. He said it would be like a mog house from ff11 with decorating.
How curious... I wonder if it could be a continuation of The Wandering Palace...The new 2.3 Dungeon will be outside, and deal with water, supposedly in La noscea.
He... was definitely gonna say salvage or something close to it, I'm pretty sure. It'd be handy for crafters to be able to convert items into their components. That would help crafters level up greatly!Crafters are getting something to do with salv- (He was cut off, people thought it was salvage, but he claims that he wasn't going to say salvage.)
And just like that, 20-50% of the General Discussion community creamed themselves in utter bliss.Phantasia Potions for sale in May!
YAAAAAAAAAY!People complained about still going to the waking sands, solution is coming.(Urianger is staying behind because of the twins are fighting and he doesn't want to leave Alisae(the female twin) behind on her own. Apparently as part of the story, they will make the move in 2.3) So no more waking sands trips!
WHY IS THIS NOT A THING!?Hildibrand was originally supposed to be a Lalafell.
...*runs to the inn to watch the cutscenes again*Yoshi said to watch the Hildibrand cutscenes again and pay attention to a reoccurring person in the back ground stalking Nashu. He said he was surprised no one caught this.
Interesting! I assume it'll have something to do with the Zodiac Weapons as well.Gerolt's name in japanese is Gero, which literally means "barf", is getting a personal story to explain his rocky past where he was not such a nice person.
Gonna need some background for this, but... okay? Not a big deal.Stitches in the moogle* are being removed because japanese players find them scary. (Was unclear if he meant the moogle pet or the moogle housing item)
I am... extremely curious how this is going to work.Housing Instruments if all played at the same time will play a memorable song.
