People who enjoy the Atma grind are the vocal minority. Spend 5 minutes talking to people in game and you'd see thatBy the community you mean the vocal minority? what about the people that don't stop mid farming to complain about stuff and just get on with What they want to do.
If you want something you go out and get it, not sit about complaining because you don't have it already, if other people can do it so can you

Except they're not vocal first of all. The largest group is more likely the ones who just don't care either way.
Also, even if you had those changes, especially no RNG, it just took a LONG time per atma, people would still complain because it takes so much more work than the original Relic. It's the same way people are complaining at the change to the gap between tome gear and coil gear.

From my experience on the subject they are the vocal minority.
The rest boils down to the people willing to do the farm and dedicate time and effort versus the other group of people that don't see an exceptional gain for the time spent farming and believe that farming the Tidal Wave weapon is overall the better option than getting the Animus weapon itself.
Yet they forget that the Animus alternative will have future upgrades so while it's currently on par with its Tidal Wave alternative it will be way better in the future.
So for people rushing the content and that raid the easiest route to the best gear is basically Allagan weapon > Tidal Wave > High Allagan. Which has nothing to do with the Atma's RNG. Since they are more concerned with the overall time investment for the stats they get.
From my experience, vocal minority is always a pointless excuse. If you live in a country with 10 million people, do you expect 6+ million to stand in cities and protest? At best you might get 1.5 million of them in the biggest cities to protest, and at that moment it is just a vocal minority protesting even if the entire country felt the same.
Fact is, there will never be a vocal majority on anything. Unless it is very small of course, like a party of 8 could have a vocal majority speak in favor of leaving a dungeon.
Just wanted to say it since it is so annoying when people attempt to use vocal minority in arguments when it is the same thing as saying "I'm typing text".

people who dont like something - They speak up
people who like something - don't speak up because they are pleased with what there is and don't feel the need to
person A " Oh i don't like this porridge its too hot"
person B " " just eats the porridge because they like it
As someone else stated, they're not vocal at all. How many threads do you see stating they like it? None or hardly any.
The largest group are indifferent and don't care either way. I'm one of them.

You are proving my point. There are no Atma threads without people saying it's fine as is.
