Just the opposite. "Buccaneers" are those who lived the "bukan" lifestyle. Back when the Spanish first conquered the Spanish Main, they unloaded pigs and stuff on all the little islands they planned to conquer and the bukans, the original inhabitants, ate the pigs. The bukans were eventually wiped out, but a lot of people figure that hey, the weather's nice, the beach is beautiful, we've got a lot of rum and free pig meat, so let's have a barbecue on the beach and just live like bums. That's a buccaneer: the original beach bum. When the Spanish got sick of the buccaneers, they kicked them off the islands... and the buccaneers got themselves some ships and turned pirate, forever biting Spain in the ass. Pirates, when they weren't engaging in piracy, generally went right back to the bukan life: drinking and partying on a beach.

So, really, a better Class/Job pairing would be Culinarian=>Pirate
