To be honest, I don't know.
To be honest, I don't know.
Probably just the person dude, might be new to MMOs in general or a bit slow. I play both tanks, I never use flash on my Warrior, it's awesome no doubt, but I don't need it.People that don't level crucial cross class skills.
Had to heal a terrible tank the other night in Stone Vigil who was already bad enough at managing multiple enemies, but that didn't have Flash. At 43. ... Needless to say we wiped several times when the idiot couldn't Overpower them all at the start and then I aggro'd 2 of the 3 dragon aevis's from a single heal to the tank. We tried to warn him to get Flash before doing any more dungeons and got an "alright lol"
... I could probably bet money that the idiot went right into another dungeon after that.
Plus, cross class skills above level 15 is not "crucial" to any content before the HM trials/dung/raids. It will make your life easier but I personally won't be tied down just because I don't have them. (since you are talking about stone vigil btw, raiding is another thing entirely)
I was in a fate near drybone with a bunch of goats. This fate is not easy because the goats have an abnormal amount of hp. There were about 4 of us dps working on a goat, getting hit in the face. I was so glad a tank came up and took the goats. As soon as he did, 7 more people came over, one of them a whm. Now this tank had several goats and his hp was getting low. WHM was spamming stone of course. So I shouted "Don't worry [insert tank's name here], I'll heal you on my blm! The WHM is too busy casting stone." He would have died if I hadn't cured him.I have a few issues with that statement.
1.) If a tank thinks he can tank a fate boss solo, expecting people to heal him out of the kindness of their hearts, he fails at reality.
3.) If a tank is tanking a fate boss solo, and does not have a healer chocobo by his side, he fails at reality yet again
tl;dr
After the fate, he thanked me profusely.
True story
When it's clearly a wipe, over half the group is dead and waiting, and one or more members continue fighting and trying to survive, thus making everyone else have to wait longer for the inevitable.
Dragoons who spam Ring of Thorns in town. Now I know how all you non-Dragoons feel. >_>
People who continuously break CC, even though the CC is there to prevent a wipe 'cause the group can't handle it.
Bad tanks that blame the healer & DDs for the party wipe when it was their (the tank's) fault for getting tunnel vision.
White Mages/ Scholars grinding FATES and not helping to heal, so my little ol' BLM has to bust out my weak ass Physick. (I know they don't get credit for healing FATEs, but c'mon, toss a heal out one in a while for Twelve's Sake.)
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
You know, I hadn't even thought about that... I just saw he had a greataxe on his back and had just assumed he was a WAR at that level. So either he was a MRD or had no clue or interest in how to assign a cross-class ability.
If you can manage a large group of enemies without Flash, then good for you. This guy clearly could not; Flash would have greatly helped with that.
If you don't have cross class skills above level 15 for higher level areas, then everyone else has to pick up your slack. It's a bad habit to have in dungeons because people like that will carry it over into harder stuff.Plus, cross class skills above level 15 is not "crucial" to any content before the HM trials/dung/raids. It will make your life easier but I personally won't be tied down just because I don't have them. (since you are talking about stone vigil btw, raiding is another thing entirely)

"Well, it's no Vana'diel, but it'll have to do..."
depends on the boss, i have had multiple times from lvl 10-50 dungeons where the boss was kited and killed.
my blm friend dot'd and killed cad for us.
just today i kited chimera in cutters cry and won for us.
I'm gonna say NO. 99% of those who use Fluid Aura at level 50... haven't learned what you have learned. I wish there could be a Fluid Aura License that people have to pass a certification process to obtain. Hey, you could teach the courses!I will fluid aura so hard (Against bosses that can't be pushed back) or against the Sahagin that casts AoE fear if we hit the point where it can't be interrupted (Because the movement cancels it.) :3
Smart use of Fluid Aura is great. The issue is, leveling, you learn to use it ASAP as part of a rotation. x.x
P.S. This is not my main...
Sometimes a potential wipe could turn out to be a win. My first time in Haukke Manor, we were fighting Lady Amandine when the tank and other DD go down (I was on Lancer at the time). Tank calls for a wipe & I figured the healer & I were quick to follow anyway, even though she had a sliver of health left. But thanks to awesome healing the two of us were able to down Lady Amandine and finish the dungeon, much to the tank's delightful chagrin. But, again, the boss only had roughly 5-15% health left.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
