How often do people actually clear Titan Extreme?

Just hang in there. I downed Titan EM maybe 1.5 months in and can pretty much farm it now. Cleared as DPS (melee) and as tank. Practiced in DF and then after a few PFs Titan EM was downed. Not to be a total jerk, but for Titan EM, I do recommend joining/starting parties that have a rule where they have 3 strikes your out rules. Titan EM is unforgiving when you have players that take needless dmg/death or get knocked off. Those players are wasting your time and their own. They should research the fight again or form practice groups in PF, FC or just practice in DF. It may even be you who is the cause but you won't know that unless you're given fair and objective feedback which can be failing the 3 strike rule. Shit happens I know, but I either lag or poor skill players should know when to bow out for the team.

But, at this point, this fight is making me want to quit the game completely (in the very least, I don't have the same drive to log in anymore)... so I guess coming off a little harsh won't really matter at this point.

Seeing patterns doesn't mean anything if lag and latency are effecting the timings of the graphical queues and the actual attacks, people still don't seem to understand that a large portion are suffering due to SE's stupid decision to only have 2 datacentres for the whole world. (nice if you live close to one of them though)

I've had friends who thought the exact same as you. They scoffed at the 3 strikes rule.. then after many many many fails, and cursing, they made one themselves and got the win. I realize it isn't always considered 'kind' but as an above poster stated, Titan EX can be unforgiving. I really believe most of the 3 strikes parties come from and get filled by people who are jaded from being in the same failing situation as many people. Most of them aren't A-holes and in fact are pretty understanding and generous. The ones I've made, people even politely offer to leave after the 2nd death sometimes, because they don't want to hold the group back.

This method also goes for those looking for experience or learning parties. What I did to down it (I was in a different state and came back to EX's a week and a half late in the game) my first time was make a "learning party". I got experience up to heart phase.. then made PF groups that said that "experience up to heart phase only", then I got heart phase experience and made one with "experience past heart phase only", and eventually downed it from there. It is ok to learn and get better at a fight, but if someone is lagging and/or dieing to every other plume/landslide, you simply need to remove them and move on. It is highly unlikely you are going to have a party capable of carrying in PF/DF.

Then after 3 weeks of fails and frustration, I caved in and made one myself. One-shot it.

Just to be clear (not picking on you specifically Zaels), no one needs to be rude and ridicule anyone in a three strikes party. Sure you'll probably have to put someone on the spot. A simple, "Hey man what's up? Are you lagging, or was it just a derp?" might be enough. If it continues, then ask politely to remember its a three strike rule and you will have to grab another member.

Your time is valuable, as is mine and the 6 other people in that party not messing up. They know the rules when they join, and should respect them.

If you have someone lagging in your party at all there is a good chance that you will not be beating Titan. I cleared him a while ago with a group that was highly geared and with no lag/unskilled players. It took us a couple of tries to finish it but we managed.

Since the Echo buff I have been finding that it is even more difficult to clear him when your DPS (such as myself) can't contain their big DPS D. and proceed to push him through phases before he is supposed too (though it is super satisfying to kill the heart phase without the ring of bombs or the 5 way landslide).

Again, to people like this, make your own PF, and start kicking after 3-4 legitimate screw ups. It really doesn't matter if it is lag or just a simple mistake. You'll keep the good people around knowing there will be a replacement for bad people, and eventually fill in the ranks with people who can clear it. If you are really not the problem, get people who aren't as well. Get your kill and move on with life.

Oh I have my kill (went and got it from a mix of FC members and party finder). Doesn't help the people in my FC group who I'm still trying to help get it.
