Hi All,
This is a fantastic Letter from Producer!![]()
As many people were complaining about, doing the same Guildleves or going to the same boring Camps over and over really made Final Fantasy XIV about "Guildleves" and "Linking." It became the best way to SP and the most efficient way, and it really drove players to go to certain Camps and that was it.
With the changes he mentions, like Guildleves being Solo Content, this is a wonderful step in the right direction!
It now places the focus of Party SP'ing away from the same boring Guildleves / and faceless Guildleve Counter. With the Map and Monster Revisions the he's mentioned here and via the response we got on the "1 to 50 Zone" Thread, this should mean we'll get many different areas (and interesting ones at that) to go out to and *explore* and *adventure*.![]()
Instead of going to Nanawa Mines or Broken Water over and over, hopefully we'll be getting our version of places like Rolanberry Fields, Crawler's Nest, Boyahda Tree, Sanctuary of Zi'tah, etc.I can't wait to see what the revised regions are going to look like, what the artists will surprise us with for Partying.
I think it's a noble goal what Yoshida-san is setting forth to do (as he mentions): Quick, easy-to-hop-into Content after a day at school, work, etc., where you can jump online, and get *something* done (Solo Guildleves and Solo Quests) and spend an hour or so, or you can go and do Light Party-based content, or plan for bigger, more time-consuming, strategic content like the The Dzemael Darkhold (R50 Raid Dungeon), and future areas like that.
I loved XI, but I can see how not everyone has time (nor wants to) put a LFP (Looking For Party) Flag and wait for an hour or two until a Party forms, and then travel and get to the location and grind for 2 - 3 hours on top of that.
This is definitely turning out to be exciting times for Final Fantasy XIV.![]()
I can't wait!

Clearly posting in this thread is like stepping under a 300 year old bridge. So many trolls infesting the place that it's difficult to spot a real person.
"were" being the key word. They changed leves in November (or was it December) to make them worthwhile party levelling content. News flash, nothing stays the same forever in MMOs. Hence why they're being changed yet again, this time to focus on the soloer again.
As long as I can still get faster SP doing leves than grinding mobs like raptors I have no problem with that. It really depends how good the reward will be for leve completion.
You'd have to be crazy or supertrolling to think killing 500 raptors for your rank is more fun than completing a quest where A) You get to kill a variety of mob species. B) The mobs almost always give more SP and C) You're rewarded for completion of the quest. No matter how repetitive that is it still beats grinding a single mob over and over by a long shot.
I think you're just trolling, but I already covered that with the ASCII spam you posted.
FFXIV: ARR item database, ability lists, maps, guides, dungeon loot lists and more. - http://www.ffxivinfo.com
Problem is, normal grinding is supposed to be an option as well, but they fudged that up and are now fixing it.
Also:
Maybe it is you that are trolling? Given that I specifically said: So now it's being put in its' place. So I'm pretty sure I know nothing stays the same in an MMO.News flash, nothing stays the same forever in MMOs.

In regards to the overall direction, he said that nothing has changed and he is still dedicated and moving forward with the edit work.
Next, in regards to the main focus of this thread, that the game is just a single area filled with monsters of different levels; the necessity to revamp this has not changed and we feel stronger than ever that along with the edits, each area should have its own specific theme.
However, as stated by Yoshida in the comment before, please understand that there is a large amount of work to be done and it will take some time before we can even share the information with you. Once the new designs start to take shape, we will make it our top priority to share them with you.Originally Posted by Yoshida

But for the 3 countries additional content, it will involve more battles and also MAP itself needs to be remodeled.Originally Posted by Yoshida

根本調整を行います。
As we have replied through reps regarding the entire map, including the 3 cities we are already working on a plan that will changes to the root. And the specifications are already made. It will be long term changes but will make sure it happens. With that timing will make root modifications to the 3 countries as well.Be as pessimistic as you want - it's still coming.Originally Posted by Yoshida

FFXIV立て直しの最も規模の大きな改修ポイントとお考えください。
This will be a long term plan and understand this is very important, think of this as a major point required in FFXIV remodeling.
