My FC is made up of IRL friends and family who all live in the same area. Lets say we all decide to take a break for a month together to play another game or w/e we want to do, about 25 days into the 35 days before we resub something happens Landslide or huge snow storm and our town goes without out power and other services again for a few weeks. Guess what we are screwed because none of us can login to touch the house.

There are many thing that can happen beside just work and problems in the house. There are thing outside of just not paying your bill that we as humans cannot control. Hurricanes, Tornados, Earth Quakes, Tsunamis. Yes these are natural disasters and don't occur very often but when they do it can effect many people. Will SE say "oh we heard a tornado went through a town in Texas and we are going to give anyone who owns a FC house a break so they can get their real life back together" No, Sure real life should be handled first. But still stuff happens look back at 2011 when the Tsunami hit japan and FFXI servers were down. Hurricane Sandy/Katrina are others they went weeks without power.
Yes, in this situation I can see how losing a virtual house in a videogame would be really high up on your priority list.

Why am I even bothering when people can just go, "BUT WHAT IF THERE'S A TSUNAMI?" Yeah. What if an asteroid crashes into the planet and kills everyone? I demand SE give me a refund if my full month isn't up when the human race goes extinct.

I give up on this conversation. Rage in peace y'all.
