Talking to support, they informed that this error can be attributed to different problems, so the possible solutions could be:

1)Reset the modem/router by unplugging it for 15 minutes then plugging it back in to renew the IP address.

2)Make sure the PS4's firmware is fully updated

3)Use a wired connection. Wireless is not optimal nor is it recommended or supported.

    4) Uninstall and reinstall the game.

5)The issue might be intermittent. It's possible it is a server congestion issue. Please try the update at a later time.

6)Reformat the PS4 hard drive and reinstall the game and try the update again.

As I have already tried 1 through 4 and have no intention of reformatting the PS4, I will wait and try later.

    1. Okay, what I want you to do first is power cycle your internet (Which would mean unplugging everything for about 5 minutes, and then plugging everything back in)

    2. And once that is done, try launching it again.

    3. Now, if that does not work, contact your ISP and tell them you want to forward the following ports: TCP (54992 - 54994, 55006 - 55007, 55021 - 55040) (30 ports.... ugh)

    4. Go away, we don't like you.

    1. Doesn't work

    2. Firmware has to be fully updated to even connect to PSN

    3. Doesn't work either way

    4. Just seemed to make the problem worse; stops at 6% now instead of 26%

    5. Possibly, but why always the same percentage? Makes no sense.

    6. That's just dumb.
