Feedback Regarding the Relic Upgrade Quest

The do know about the thread. They posted in here and consolidated other threads into this one. Doesn't mean they aren't listening, they just have nothing to say on the matter right now.

Considering how long it took them to post the "official" Q&A letter, they're probably carefully sifting through all their responses/translations before bracing for another, possibley larger shit storm.

Your not far off the mark unfortunately, I don't see them doing anything about the drop rates till the next step in the relic questline becomes available.

Yes - People wanted this kind of system (nerfing old content as they update since that's "standard design now".) So honestly, with all the atmas and animus weapons running around, yeah don't expect much of a change because people are already pushing through it and completing it.

Finally got my atma of the water-bearer after 17 hours of farming for it. 4 down now, and only an average of 14 hours each....

Okay so here is where I stand:

- I got all my Atmas drops. I don't have horror stories like some people do, but I did invest a fair amount of mind numbing hours to get all 12. I have now "upgraded" one of my weapons to Atma. I do not plan to do that again for anther weapon until they make it a LOT easier.

- I am ready to start doing the books now, but I simply don't have the Myths to purchase one. I am not about to start power grinding dungeon runs just to obtain a single book. Having each weapon require 9 books at 1,500 myth each is pure insanity. At the rate I currently obtain Myths each week, it's going to take me 3 - 4 months to finish just that one weapon. One serious problem I have here is now every single Myth I get will have to go toward books. Buying i90 equipment is completely out of the question, and that's really not fair. It's no longer a Darklight game. It needs to be realistic for us to purchase i90 items, and it simply is not. They should have just kept Philosophies in the game, and had the books cost 2,000 Phil each. Then books would have been much more realistic to obtain, and we could still spend our myths on armor.

- My interest in this game has been low lately. I really needed 2.2 to refresh the game a bit. But 2.2 has been a big disappointment with things like this. I don't understand why the devs are making so many bad choices here. I am starting to feel like there is a massive disconnect between us and the devs. Complete lack of Class balance work. Selling us an additional retainer for an increased monthly fee. Horrible implementation of Echo buff. Extremely boring, super grindy weapon quest. Yoshida and team need to get with the program here.


For this weapon quest, I really feel we have a serious problem here. This isn't something the devs should be putting off for several months and maybe making some changes in 2.3 or 2.4. I honestly think we need a hotfix and some serious changes made to this quest. I was surprised 2.21 didn't include any improvements to this.

I am sitting at 7/12 and have had two ATMA's really give me trouble...Central Shroud "Maiden" took me three days to get... and now I am on the dreaded Upper La Noscea which I have been working on for 4 days now. I really think that at the end of this we should not have just got a frigging "Paint Job" on our weapon...we should have got something on it for all that work. At least with the books we have clear progression and only RNG is waiting for those particular FATES to spawn which I heard some are a pain in the ass...but at least they spawn sometime for sure. Locking the other weapon behind Coil is total CRAP SE...what the hell is that all about???
I am still stuck on Titan EX becasue I can dodge but once again no freaking body else can...god dang it all to heck....totally sucks!!!!Trying to get him down so that I can beat Ifrit and get working on Leviathan so I can get that weapon before the long haul on stupid Animus.

The only reason you guys are complaining is that you have a lot of 50's that have relics and you don't wanna do fates for all your relic weapons.

So you complain and complain and complain and hope SE see's it and decides to nerf it so you can have it easier, I notice its mostly only the ones with a lot of 50 jobs complaining and these are the same people who complained about them nerfing coil I believe that said they wouldn't have anything to show for it, I am positive they are.

If I was SE I wouldn't listen I mean they've been slaving over this game and trying to make you happy with new content every time its a new complaint should be lucky to even talk to the devs directly.

Also for the people that are taking too long to get your Atma let me give you a tip stop teleporting and start running around to your fates.

I believe it resets your chances, I never teleported and got all mine within a couple of days, cousin got his in 3 days I told him not to teleport.

also I didn't join no atma party because I believe it lowers chances also, I am not trying to be mean about this but its not hard to get atma.
