Question about lv 50 Gathering Retainer

Are we going to be able to have a level 50 Retainer job at all?

Currently, I decided to choose both a Miner, and Botanist job for both of mine, since I have not even played ANY of the 3 DoL jobs since my early days of 1.0 and I have been power leveling them by turning in DC daily items, HQ when I can. I was 17 Mining and 19 Botany on Venture's opening day, and after equipping both of mine with HQ Level 1 armor, I got to 5 with the first 18 hour Venture. When I got to 10 and Quick Exploration opened up, I upgraded their clothes. The very first random item in Quick Exp was a DarkLight Ring of Casting. I had just hit 50 in 1 of 3 jobs, (BLM then SMN/SCH the next day, I kept them even), so was totally surprised at that. I also got several house items, Manor furniture, Eorzean Maps etc, so it does not matter what job your retainer is, he is not limited to certain items for Quick Exploration trips.

But now, I noticed under the gear choice, top right corner of their character profile, it says: Max Level 18 (5 levels under your current level. I was 23 at the time, now 25). It sounds like it will be Level 45 maximum if you go by this?

I had NO choice but to start using both of those jobs, I wanted to anyway for the Challenge Log quests as well. So if I get to 50, it sounds like the MAX LEVEL should be 45 at that rate?
