Your Character's Name

I named my character Bento Box because I honestly couldn't think of anything else to call her at the time. lol But I think it fits for the type of personality I envisioned for her. She's a bit silly and odd, even has a laugh to match it.

My alt's name is Lilliputian Bantam, a lalafel. The last name of 'Bantam' obviously means small or little. Lilliputian I came up with from the Lilliputs from Gulliver's Travels. My character 'was' the only Lilliputian at launch....now I see a lot more. >_>

Clara Lux is Latin for 'clear light'. I thought it was a fitting name for a paladin which is my main job.

My name Volta, comes from the 7th studio album from Bjork. When I had started playing XI around 2007ish or so, Volta was the new Bjork project that was just starting to come to fruition. The project at the time included Timbaland, Antony (from Antony and the Johnsons), Toumani Diabate, a 14 piece all girl brass section, and Chinese pipa player Min Xiao-Fen. It also was the first album to make use of the REACTable - which was a pretty advanced instrument at the time. The album was so lush and full of blood, and was the first name that popped into my head when creating my character. (its also a very simple and non complicated name for others to type and say)

I was also keen to the name being that I am fond of natural elements that are found in nature, Lightning being one of my favourites.

My surname stems from my time in XI. I forget exactly what it was for, but apparently if you started playing XIV back when it first started, if you linked your XI character and carried over your server name as your surname - I believe you got a special ingame item. So this is why my surname is Asura, because I was on Asura at the time.

All in all, I am fairly satisfied with my choice. I know of others who regret their choice of name for their ingame characters.

I like to think that mine has some meaning for myself, and also isn't that common. It's really grown on me throughout the years.

I like the moon. The name Lunar sounds cool.

Emerald because my eyes are green irl and because I think Emerald Weapon from VII is awesome.

Hmm!

My 1.0 character was a Hyur, named Kyan Daralis. He looked like my XI character, Kyan.
In 2.0, I wanted to make a Miqo'te Male and use lore for the name, but I wanted to still retain an essence of Kyan. So, during beta, it what K'yhan Tia (hipparion tribe), but as there were no hipparions in the game, so I didn't know if they were ugly totems or not, I decided to change the tribe. The grass viper item and the cobra models in game sounded cool, and being Australian, snakes are part of my every day life, so I decided to be L'yhan Tia.

When I server transferred to Aegis, someone had my name! So I changed to Nunh and made a backstory for my character because of it

My character is Merritt Poppington. I chose two characters that Woody Harrelson has played in his movies, and combined the first name with the last name. I love Woody Harrelson!

When we can buy fantasias I will be switching to a Lalafell.

I'm crap, so April is my real first name and Flux just popped into my head as i had just watched a chalize theron movie and it reminded me of Aeon Flux..... Ps: Aeon Flux was already taken lol

I watched a lot of Bewitched when I was growing up and always wanted magical powers. Samantha is the main character witch married to a normal human.

And Poprocks were my favorite candy. Ali is my nickname.

Hi, fellow tv witchy lady!

Mine's obvious. Was on a Buffy kick during XI and the name has stuck with me for the rest of my MMOs.

Though my alt, Ahim Dia'famille, is all Gokaiger. (But the official spelling is D'Famille, I just did it phonetically because I forgot.)

"Davorok" was my XI Galka name. I made it up but later found out there was a NHL player named Dvorok.

Byrmwilf is Roegadyn for "Treewolf" which was my Hunter from another MMO.
