Duty Finder for DD

It's a real pain to use the Duty Finder as a DD. I spend up to and over 60 minutes in the queue waiting for a roulette or dungeon to pop.

How about if you spend more than 30 minutes in a queue you get a bonus reward like tanks get for simply clicking join?

As it is tanks can run a dungeon twice in the time it takes a DD to queue up and run it once.

Melee gets in alot faster than ranged since more people play the latter type of DD. I agree the wait times shouldn't be so long but..it really is a problem we created ourselves.

Game is lacking tank. If they give the DD bonuses tank gets as well, guess what, it'll take even longer to get a run in.

Iirc, the DF tries to make DD groups of 1 melee, 1 ranged. Obviously, this doesn't always happen, but it attempts to do so. More players queue up on brd, blm, and smn than mnk or drg which is why those jobs usually have longer wait times.

Don't ask me to find the interview/dev post about it. They talked about this sometime before launch.

I can't find the quote right now, it might've been on the beta forums, but people were complaining about the unfairness of two people potentially lotting against each other (i.e. two DD) in four-man dungeons, while the tanks and healers were guaranteed their drops, if any. The official response said that the DF actually tries to match one ranged DD and one melee DD in each party if possible.

I didn't realize this was a thing but it sucks. That's just more time s.e forces dr to take.the reasoning seems legit at least...
