Duty Finder for DD

My Wife is a warrior 50 and is currently leveling PLD level 34 I think. I'm leveling WHM. And if we queue up for duty roulette trying to get into the same party, I as a WHM have been withdrawing for 2-5 mins before we get into the same party, So I think there is a shortage of both Healer and Tanks.

Just think about it... What if suddenly we would have to many Tanks?
Then Healers and DD would be Fine but the Tanks would cry lol.

Thats no Solution. The Problem is the 1/1/2, 2/2/4 System i think but
SE does not want to change that.

Yeah, having a 1/1/3 2/2/6 or a 1/1/1/2 2/2/2/4 system would alleviate a lot of the issues but it will always be there in some capacity. And hasn't ff always had the 4 person party? So changing the base would conflict with lore?

As a quick note, it also depends on what languages you actually join. I've been doing well just activating all languages (french, japanese, german, english) and most groups will talk english even if they're all french except for you etc.
It does definitely decrease waiting times, though it might be a little troublesome sometimes (there ARE actually people in this game that can't speak english, so sometimes you'll be left out etc.).

All MMO's are the same, Tanking is probably the most stressful role you can play and is also the first people will blame when something goes wrong.

On the other hand DPS is probably the easier role to play and has the least effect on the party unless you are facing end game content.

It's just as simple as the path of least resistance.

Which is hilarious, because tanking 4man dungeons in this game is seriously the most braindead thing I have ever done. At least as a SCH I can pretend I'm a DPS while the tank shrugs off trash mobs' attacks...

Casual players are scared of the skill floor required for tanking and healing, and serious players are driven away from tanking and healing casual content because its still ceiling is stiflingly low. The only time I tank or heal any more is when those roles are called for in serious 8mans, where those roles are actually checked for more than 'has a pulse and can press button', or when my FC wants to do premade speedruns or introduce people to content without putting up with toxic gamer bro randoms making jokes about sexual assault.

It's not being ignorant though is it ?

The reason the queues are so long is that there are too many DPS and not enough Tanks and Healers, so the optimal thing to do would be to try and even the odds.

I get that some people don't like playing other classes but if you are happy not to play those other classes then you should be happy to wait in line.
