Because in the time it takes to get them to 50 you'd have made millions on overpriced items..that's essentially what I'm reading. The ILVL closes the gap mainly, but the level itself is for the specific item seeking. I'm a crafter too, btw.

Nothing on the market is overpriced if someone is willing to pay that much. Just because you want something for dirt cheap doesn't mean the game has to give you the means of getting it easily.
