Plan to remove benefit for failing leves?

RMTs are in the game, griefers are in the game...if there was an exploit that allowed you to get millions of gil selling items to npcs would you use it?
Because isn't that what befell the salvage dupers?

Or how about that strategy against AV? That was in the game, the players used it...

I never said anything about Salvage or AV, because that was a glitch. This is a form of SP or EXPing that involves no glitching with the game. It is simply redoing the same leve because of failure and at no point is there any tampering. If SE saw it as cheating or an exploit it would have already been taken care of. It's a way to guarantee that you have the same leves, there is no glitching involved. An exploit would be getting something for free, and in this case we are still killing the mobs for the SP. As I said before, good luck to yah.

What don't you understand people are not question if people do it or not. Or do you see anyone here saying they must stop and demanding others not to do it? Or, again, do you see people basically saying its stupid to:

A: To reward failure.
B: Its a bad game mechanic that has caused incredible abuse in the game sky rocketing through levels in a game with nothing to do and making the game easier then it ever EVER should have been.
C: Offering ideas on how it could be changed.
D: The Dev saying its going to be addressed and joy expressed over it.

Seriously, What is wrong with you? Are you so hellbent on defending leve failing you'll just puke up an diatribe you can think of even though its totally out of context?

if they have such a HUGE problem with it they simply wouldn't do it. i agree with reika because i am on the same server and can vouch. i only know of one that refuses to do the leves this way. i know the majority of the players on the server as we are one of the smaller servers and i can say that 90% or better the leve parties are the thing they enjoy most in the game.

i know a few more that are saying they want the system changed soon, but there is a reason for that. the reason? they are working on their last battle class and then will have them all capped. they want the abandon system removed so they can stay as one of the few to have all capped so they can keep their status as it is.

i'd have to say the vast majority not only use the system, but prefer it the way it is.

Yes, getting achievements for achievement sake is simply a shallow feature that I hope FFXIV doesn't adopt. A better, more fully featured system would be to offer lasting reward that not only gets players to want to complete 1,000 leves, but to WANT to complete many, many more.

I fail because it is the fastest sp. Links + favor make it that way. Is it wrong or imorral, hell no. If you don't want to do it then don't. But I will continue to because my goal in an mmo is to grow.

After saying all that, I do feel like it should not be the optimal way. It sounds counterintuitive. Now if SE were to make a way for all leves to be competitive to failing dunes with aspect and full links. Then I would gladly complete them. And thats how imo it should be, but it isnt. And hurting people who fail wont make the system better, it will cause a lot of bitterment. I deffinitely think they should continue their thoughts on this bonus for completion idea, but also work leves so that they more closely resemble eachother on sp reward gain.

if people hated it and the idea of it people would not do it. people hate the party search system the way it is now......guess what? people don't use it. you don't have people coming on and asking when the grind party is or when people are going to do nm's. they get online and ask what time is the leve party. this is a simple fact and people do enjoy the leve parties knowing they are going to fail the leves.

Maybe I should stop playing then, since leves are all I really do, but I've just been tricking myself into thinking I enjoy them, or something. . .
