Non-crafters only: Are you happy with the vanity system?

You are lazy for not leveling a crafter and wanting a hand-out. It costs me maybe 500 gil to make a prism, 200 if I gather all the mats (which I do, since all the mats are for things I craft often, so I have them on hand).
If people are paying thousands of gil for a prism, its because they feel its a fair price. If they weren't selling at those prices, the price would go down.

That's like saying companies shouldn't be able to sell their product for profit because their time and investment means nothing to you.

dear, it take other items to craft them too... how much do those mats cost on your server?

For example... 1 prism and 2 toad leather cost 1400 then you also need 2 crystals... but the prism sells for 2400 ... Seems perfectly acceptable.

Like ANYTHING in a MMO the newer it is the more people want it and the higher they will pay. Once it calms down prices will not be artificially inflated by the people lacking patience.

Doing 1 dungeon will net you enough for at least one prism... and if it doesn't, perhaps you should farm up some mats from the local monsters, sell them or trade them to a friend or guild mate to make those prisms for you nice and cheap, there is no need to rage at people for simply playing the game ^_^

My my, sounds awfully hypocritically of you. So, you claim you make them for free for your friends, but someone else, who is not your friend, who is having a hard time affording them is lazy and wants a hand out.

Yep, still lazy and looking for a hand out. The best solution is to level crafters yourself (its much easier and faster to do that than level DoW or DoM classes), or, since this is an MMO...make friends...but no, no one can spend the time to do that, especially with someone who is willing to make crafts cheap for people.

BTW, while I will give my friends these things (and others) for low-to-no upfront cost, they do things for me back. A trade of services, and token of friendship. Some give me mats if I need them, so I give them crafted items if they need them, others help me with farming things, etc.

Thanks for your kind suggestions, however I don't need them. I actually have a friend who is in my FC that makes me free prisms, even after I offer to give him gil in exchange. I've also purchased a few from the market boards during the times when he wasn't online and I didn't want to wait.

I'm simply acknowledging the OP's point of view instead of calling him lazy and claiming he wants hand outs like you did.
