All Android and iOS smartphones can use it (I even have it on my iPod Touch). I doubt they want to bother with all that work to port a free app to Windows Phone, which almost nobody uses.
Yes, i think that the kind of content I described above, such as retainer venture and possibly a chocobo and card game mini-game would not be something I'd expect from a free app.
I'd be willing to pay an extra £1 a month in sub to get these features, or maybe a paid version (£3-4 perhaps?) of the Libra Eorzea app for those that cringe at the sound of "additional sub fees"![]()
I love this idea!
SE does have an application for Dragon Quest X that does interact with the game. They could do something similar like they do there, where they have some basic features available for free, while other features require payment. Where you each day gain a small amount of "gems" that you can spend on premium features, or purchase more if you want to use the premium features more often.I wish that some of the item info was more complete. For example, yew branch is used in crafting recipes but the app says only "not sold", "not dropped". Why not add "gatherable"? For dungeon drops, would it be a bad thing to say which dungeon? I'm not sure about this one, but I would love that have that info in the app.
I think though for the app to interact with the game, it would need to be a paid feature. That's a lot to ask of a free app, in my opinion. Also, can all smartphones use LE? If not, I think this would need to be prioritized.
They allow people for free to:
- To read and write letters.
- See how much money one have, including inside the bank.
- See all the items one have in the inventory, bank and armory chest.
- Browse the marketboard.
- View some FC equivalent information and who is online.
- Same with friends.
- Remove items one is selling at the marketboard.
They do have some premium features, with the only one that matters for us would be.
- Putting items up for sales in the marketboard, as well as buy items.
Although I am not really a fan of that system. I prefer more if it had a subscription fee, or a one-time payment if it had to be paid.

While I would love to be able to assign ventures to retainers, that might take a little while to accomplish.
A much easier thing to add would be the "timer" list. How long until next treasure map is available, how long until retainer comes back, etc...
I agree wholeheartedly with this. For example, not to long ago I was working on leveling up Carpenter. One of the recipes called for Crab Oil. I figured I'd look it up in Libra Eorzea to see if I could buy it anywhere. Nope, can't buy it from an NPC. Doesn't drop from enemies. What the app doesn't tell you is that it's an item made by Alchemists. It would be nice if it said that, then maybe linked to the Alchemist recipe so I could know what mats to gather for my Alchemist friend who will make them for me.
YES this would be cool. It would help me out, when I'm so forgetful and don't send them on ventures(3 days straight so far ugg)Ventures. We've recently got access to the retainer venture system. How cool would it be to access your retainers from the app, assigning them missions when you can't log into the game. I'm on my lunch break at work, my retainers have returned... if only I could use the app to check up on them.
Chocobo Idea isn't bad, when I read it, it got me thinking, of maybe some kind of a system where you can get exp for your companion. idk what kind of minigame they could make that would work, but there's got to be something.
I would love a fully fleshed out area where you could craft items. It would be really cool to have the same crafting minigame on the app, that we have in game. They could use the same code, and everything. I know this last one is probably a pipe dream, but it would be nice to be able to get some crafting done when at work lol.
The Venture system is kinda like those f2p mobile games that make you wait 6 hours to harvest a crop or whatever, but without the money-grubbingness or annoying social crap. It's perfect for the app, please add it!
I just searched for that app, is that the one coming for 3DS? Looks like a cool addition to the game.
With that in mind, I think that a version of Libra Eorzea would be kinda sweet on PSVita too! However, if we're going by the numbers there are probably less Vitas than Windows Phones (ok, pulled that guestimate out of thin air), and if they aren't making a WP version, they probably won't waste resources on a Vita version too
However a Vita version of the app would make sense considering the PS4 release and Sony's obvious interest in FF14...
