I'll give you props if you can debate against someone actually working on this game. "FFXI-2 whiners" are saying the same thing as Gondai just said, the basics of the game. Not a clone. FFXI had basic systems XIV did not.

So ironically, the "FFXI-2 whiners" are the winners.

I took that quote as to mean, "Every MMO has a certain set of features that FFXIV, for whatever reason, didn't come with, so we're adding that stuff in," not, "MORE FFXI FOR EVERYONE YAY!"

But then, I try to read between the lines.

*sigh* Elexia didn't say "FFXIV was going to be more like FFXI"...What Elexia did say was this "Not a clone. FFXI had basic systems XIV did not." which is was Most of the "FFXI-2 Whiners" are saying, all they want are the basic systems...which worked so well for 10 years, and as a matter of fact are still working.
