This is not FFXI, but I see your point. Having the job quests unlocked when you purchase a new expansion is one thing, but I have a feeling that having the jobs locked down until you actually progressed in the new area's storyline would not go over well with players. Plus, would this unlock the class at level 50, or level 1? These are things the devs have to consider.

I'm honestly not following your statement at all. My meaning was that to a fresh level 1 character in the game, with no in-game story progression, it makes no sense to meet her yet as a trainer because until the time passes and the character reaches level 50 to complete the main scenario up until the 2.2 content, to player characters and to NPCs in the world, Yugiri does not exist. She has yet to visit Eorzea. Does that make more sense?
