This is just how all mmos are pretty much these days. Everything is instant gratification and anything that hinders it will make players rage.
The only thing you can do is find a good fc and play in a bubble.

There's your problem. You are using the Dungeon Finder. lol
I think what Ferocious is trying to say is, yeah he has every right to run them and the iLvl is 55, it's just realize that Brayflox HM is THE PLACE you're going to run into the jerks with more frequency. So feel free to DF it, just understand the "quality" of people is going to be a real crap shoot. The new dungeons have a minimum iLv of 55, meaning he has every right to do them, regardless of how many overgeared players are farming them. If someone wants to control the iLv of the people in a group, they're more than welcome to recruit via Party Finder, but when you queue through DF, you do not get to complain about the gear of who you're paired with.
That's easy enough to understand. After my first time through, the only places we had issues were me forgetting that I could aoe the bombs and the other dps clipping an explosion once. Once they reminded me politely that I could, it was easy enough for me to not feel like a burden and seemed relatively quick compared to the other dungeons I had already done.I think what Ferocious is trying to say is, yeah he has every right to run them and the iLvl is 55, it's just realize that Brayflox HM is THE PLACE you're going to run into the jerks with more frequency. I thought that since it was fairly painless for being the first time for most of us, that it would be a decent place to make some progress on my gear. Finding a comfortable spot where I could just focus on improving my reflexes and get gear without being in the way had me very excited.
Persoanlly I LOVE Brayflox HM. it's pretty fun, some fun mechanics to the fight, easy to learn, and realativly quick. Trouble is the hardcores know this too and they're turning it into Wanderer's Palace 2.0, give it about a 2-3 weeks and they'll get their iLVLs up to run the new Coil and they'll be out of our hair....for the most part. That's easy enough to understand. I am on Gilgamesh too. Check out our FC Aureus Knights. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Focused-FC-LFMI hit 50 just before the patch hit. I started spamming dungeons to gear up my Blm hoping to have a reasonably good time in the process. Sadly this has been no where near the case.
...
Am I missing something? Any one have any idea what people with this mind set think I am supposed to be doing? It's been one hell of a demotivating experience since I hit 50.
I'm also on gilgamesh and really look me up anytime you're on I might not have an fc that suits you, but I usually am up for dungeons. I also love ct so I'm always up for that!
I haven't tried ct yet. From what I've watched trying to get a handle on it, it does look interesting. The large party story dungeons have made a little wary of it though. So many people just standing around waiting for others to do the work. It's also really hard to feel accomplished with slow cast times and so much dps unless I triple flare large pulls.
Personally, I have a love/hate relationship for new players. I love that new people are playing and learning the game. But, especially for content I've already cleared 100 times, I want to clear through older content more quickly. If you are slower, don't know the encounters, or aren't geared; well, you can potentially aggravate me for existing. Having said that, there are a lot of people that meet the requirements in the new instances... it's easier to blame new people for mistakes than suggest to work as a group to clear newer content. Brayflox HM is a good example since the boss encounters have new techniques that are difficult (last boss especially)... add in the server lag and you have a bad combo to increase newbie hate.
Good luck in future runs! Find a good free company or linkshell. There are a lot of people happy to help new players.
