    HARDER Just make it so u have to form a stratagy.

    I wonder if the previous dev team even knew what an mmo was. to be on this forum pleading for stuff makes you wonder WTH went on for 5 years of development.. what was so hard that it took so long so that they had to leave out fun gameplay.

    I vote for very challenging content, there isn't much so it might as well take a while to complete. For all the people who can't tell what the difference between tough content and wandering through frosting, please enlighten me as to how making the game challenging is too complicated for you to understand. There are a million ways to implement tougher situations, once battle is fixed I'd like to put it to use against something that might kill me.

    Is "dichotomy" the word of the day or something? Because it really doesn't fit whatsoever. He's just asking whether people would like more challenge in the game and not telling you how to play.

    The only "dichotomy" is in your imagination when you jumped to conclusions about changes that aren't really in the near future. Are you afraid the game will be too hardcore and you'll be peer pressured and duct taped to your desk? All you did was create a false dichotomy, since several of the more intricate/difficult parts will have some sort of overlap for casual players.

    The game is a cakewalk anyway, people who want to do something challenging should at least have the opportunity to do so.

    Easy content is not bad at the start of a game because people are learning. but all easy content at midgame/lategame is horrible game design.

    The game should scale

    1-15 => easy as crap this is where you are learning the game should be easy to help you get into it
    15-25 => Starts to add in more stuff that is complex
    25-35 => you have to know what you are doing to succeed
    35-45 => Stuff is now hard to do, you should fail unless you know your job
    45+ => Requires a certain level of mastery at your job not to fail... this is endgame nothing should be "easy". If a member Leroy's something the alliance should fail and you should fail the run. If the tank fails to hold hate everyone should die.
    It shouldn't be that cut and dry. there should be content of varying difficulty levels in every level range. Leve difficulty sort of takes care of this for low/mid levels, but when the content branches out more, especailly for higher levels, there should be events of varying degrees of difficulty. Everything shouldn't just automatically be way harder just because you're higher level. You should still have options based on what you feel you're ready for.

    Because for many people, difficulty (or lack of difficulty) strongly correlates with fun.

    For when I feel like soloing, I want easy content that is hard to finish (long quests with lots of traveling and NPC interactions with nice cutscenes).

    For when I feel like partying, I want hard content that is easy to find a PT for (short quests/dungeons with "hub-style" start locations and NPC interactions with nice cutscenes).
