Translation: Do you like (A) Pizza or (B) Dogs#!t? EXACTLY. PIZZA IS THE BEST FOOD ON EARTH. FROM NOW ON, WE WILL EAT ONLY PIZZA. GET ON IT.

This isn't going to matter in the long-run. The gear won't be worth destroying a dungeon for by the time you're 50. Why is it that people treat every addition like the new "endgame?" Back to the pizza metaphor, these patches are the "Pull the dough out of the fridge and roll it around a bit" stage - why are you trying to stuff it in your face and critique the flavor already?

I agreed with most of your post except for this part right here. One problem I have with WoW is the 'Life Begins At Endgame' mentality. Final Fantasy always made it about the journey. And if you don't want people to feel like it's just a tedious grind, you need to give them more low and mid level content, so that the journey is fun and compelling, not just rush them through it as fast as possible like an unpleasant experience they need to get over with. We need endgame goals, yes, but not just endgame.

I don't like how much they've nerfed the 1-25 level curve. I think now that SP has been made consistent, they need to steepen that curve back up and add more content. I'm not for ridiculous time sinks, but I think getting to level cap should be meaningful, and give you a sense of accomplishment. IMO, getting to 50 should take months, not a couple weeks.

I prefer hard content, but not so hard that it requires a lot of luck. I remember Diabolos quite vividly. Seeing a sliver or life left in diabolos only have nightmare put everyone to sleep while he picked off everyone. Which drove me a little insane after going 0/15 on my mithra. Causing me to abandon my mithra and make a tarutaru, that i soloed blm to 75, in order to completely destroy him. However, soloing BLM was probably the most fun i've had in a MMO, sad but true.

The big issue with Diabolos, and most of the "tough" content in FFXI, wasn't the fight itself. It was always the other people. A lot of the time they are there for one simple task, and they just won't do it. On my RDM i had a party where I had to refresh 4 and haste the 2 ninja, cure, and debuff. All because the WHM couldn't handle casting silena on the ninja and healing(onzozo whisker cat things). I've had LS fail a Dynamis run because the LS leader's wife does something stupid(for the 3rd time), and I get jumped on for calling her out on it.

Hard content is great, I love a challenge. However, if you keep having to deal with people who screw it up, you eventually want a "JP Button" to get it over with. So I propose that the game be made idiot-proof, and by that i mean so hard that idiots can't play it. Sorry for the rant.

If there was a third option "both" i would select that. Sometimes i simply want to do content that is easy and sometimes i want to be pushed through the meat grinder. Well if i have to select between just hard or just easy i would opt for hard. Although i think offering both and various middle grounds would be ideal.

That has GOT to be, hands down, the worst analogy I have ever heard or read.

Meowy's not asking what you want to do ONLY, just what the emphasis would be if you had to pick.

Seriously people will fight/whine/scratch/cry about anything,
