Obviously you've never played another FF game before, which have the same general battle theme repeated for normal battles throughout the entire game, with only special story-based battles often having unique themes. And besides, most dungeons don't even have BGM, apart from an initial short leitmotif right at the start that then fades into silence after a few moments.

Yes because the other FF games are all like FFXIV and it needs to be completely modeled after them and follow their music cues. Let me laugh harder. We (the community) make this game what it is. Our input is valued (in general) and can cause change. That is the purpose of this topic. Why would a FF game be modeled after other FF games? Guess what? Your Dragoon was modeled after the Dragoons of old, especially in terms of armor design.

Well, have you? Did you even play 1.0 or 1.23? Or XI? While older FF games very rarely changed battle themes (normal), XI, 1.0 and 1.23 had varied battle themes, ARR is more of a throwback to old. Also, how could you hear the music when the game isn't even up?

Check the FFXIV reddit. Also, they give us an option to turn off mount music, so why not battle music? My point was, FFXIV isn't like a single player FF of old. It's constantly changing and growing with input from the community.
