3. If you have a piece of furniture where the stairs are going to be what happens to it?

I have logged out myself in my S house at the corner... wondering if I will fall down to the basement upon next logon after patch...^^;

I suspect that the bit where the stairs will go probably doesn't exist yet. It'll just be easier for them to add another section to the back of the house than to try and figure out how to deal with the furniture in an existing spot.

According to the preliminary patch-notes you'll be waking-up at your front gate. Apparently you'll fall so hard you'll fall through reality.

In preparation for the addition of residential wards, as well as individual player housing, players who join a duty or log out from within an estate hall will now return to the estate entrance when logging in or returning from an instance.

FYI - I woke up at the entrance of the housing AREA but not my front gate! I was really shocked and feared as my house is on the farest row from the AREA entrance.
Fortunately, then I entered DF from the house and got back to the front gate but not the "area entracne"
