Quick SE, drop everything you are doing and reprogram this feature before next week!!!!!!1!!

I don't see an honest issue with #1. I was never forced into something I didn't like at any level which didn't have an alternative somewhere.

#2 is something I am sure will come in time. It's not like this is immutable. They are giving us the basics first, and will expand as they have time. Just like almost everything else they have done.

#3 I have to laugh at. In what world is "Mirage Prism" more masculine that "Glamour?" It's one scepter away from being a Magic Girl transformation.

Look up the definition of Mirage & tell me I'm wrong again... if you want, you can look back a couple pages & see I clearly spelled out how it's an appropriate fit.

Because Mirage doesn't have the same connotation "Glamorous" does in a Western Society...

    1) Level 50 Requirement.

At least bump it down to 30... this puts out so much of the player-base of whom doesn't blitz to 50 on a single class (not me personally, but I know plenty of FC members who have been excited about the feature but will now be put out for a long time... especially since they'd need 50 for each class-type they want to Glamour). As well, this wouldn't be so bad if you'd informed us at the start... but this' very last minute to say "fifties only!".

    2) Multi-slot->One-slot doesn't let you Glamour the next slot (e.g. head & chest darklight cowl to healer's robe).

So I can convert my hooded robe into a plain, bodily robe but am not then permitted to wear a headpiece. That's a bit ridiculous, don't you think?

    BONUS: The Name.

Mirage Prism was 1,000x better. It's already bad enough I'm forced to display earrings on my rugged male Hyur... now I get to 'glamour' myself? If you let me glamour my jewelry into nothing-ness, that could work... but still, Glamour?!

    Please & Thank You SE!
    1. You only need ONE level 50 then you can use glamours on any class regardless of level. Its a level 50 quest to unlock the skill not a 50 level requirement. Same concept as the overmelding skill.

    2. A lot of people disable the head gear anyway.. You can deal with it until you upgrade. Its a coding issue. They way its going to work is that the vanity gear is attached to the gear you wear. If there isn't gear in the head slot there isn't anything for you to bind the vanity gear to.

    3. [EDIT: I was wrong] Still not a real issue... Why does the name bother you again?

Do your research and do be so picky for 3 weeks worth or Glamour usage.

you should change the original post to reflect that #2 and #3 were removed after discussion. Because I was very confused.

    I misunderstood nothing.

P.S. I'm not complaining, I just dislike the name. My emphasis lies more in the female-connotation of being "glamorous" in a Western Society... which' why I bring up the point I can't hide my earrings or necklace. Some may disagree, but I already feel forced into too much femininity in the game already.

Monsters use glamours in game if you'd pay attention. Many leve's the Imps use them. Get over it, Mirage Prism is no better than Glamour, stop being stuck in the stone ages out of "fear" of a word.

I fully support the idea you have to have a level 50 job accomplished to glamour your gear.

It is surprising they haven't figured it out yet considering I'm sure a few were hoping to be able to use Odin's Vanity armor but now they can't.

Honestly I don't see what would be so hard to code, all they would need to do is always give "glamour" visual the priority but saying it like that I now see the issue.

This is prolly the issue they are faced with atm.

You have body armor, put odin's armor on it, it's set for body/hands/legs/feet.

However they don't have a means to set priority to which piece should be shown over the other, so while Odin's armor might work in a scenario where glamour hasn't been set on the hands/feet/legs, if a player were to put glamour on a hand/leg/feet piece in which the body had the odin piece, it wouldn't be able to prioritize which piece it should visualize and it most likely caused a crash in the system.

This however could be rectified if they were to create a priority list to the visuals, however they do have to keep in mind that what if different pieces come out with differne priorities how do they set it up.

But it might be easily fixed with the following idea

Equipment that takes 5 visual slots takes priority over all visuals
Equipment that takes 4 visual slots of wxyz takes priority of wxyz visuals
Equipment that takes 3 visual slots of xyz takes priority of xyz visuals
Equipment that takes 2 visual slots of yz takes priority of yz visuals
Equipment that takes x visuals slot takes priority over x visual

Pretty much the code would need to be worked to look at glamour, figure out which takes priority and then ignore other glamours if they are put into place. Which does sound like it take a bit of time to do.

The reason why it's easy to make the head/body piece look like a body and not vice versa is because the head/body piece is only taking up one slot, so there is no priority issue to consider since they can't put anything on the head piece

But on the flip side, since a single piece body being attached with a body/head visual, still leaves option to add a visual to the head piece and since they most likely are still working on the kinks to make it possible they just can't allow it atm.

Isn't the mirage prism item still in the game as a sort of firework?

    1) Not even remotely possible. When you change a cowl to look like a robe you are still getting the full stat boosts from something that takes two slots. What would be ridiculous is letting someone get all of those stats plus the benefit of an added head piece they otherwise wouldn't be able to wear. Unless you're expecting SE to release an entire line of statless gear and a change how said gear is equipped just to benefit people that happen to wear cowls.

    2) It's the "Glamour" system and it uses Mirage Crystals. I seriously do not understand how people still do not understand it considering this complaint has been around since they first mentioned the system. Glamour is the perfect name for this system because not only does it reference making something more attractive but has a secondary definition of being a magical enchantment.

    3) How exactly did you forget you were making a list of 3 things after your first point...
