SE - Reverse these 3 things about Glamours QUICK

1) Multi-slot->One-slot doesn't let you Glamour the next slot (e.g. head & chest darklight cowl to healer's robe).

So I can convert my hooded robe into a plain, bodily robe but am not then permitted to wear a headpiece. That's a bit ridiculous, don't you think?


BONUS (OPINION): The Name.

Mirage Prism was 1,000x better. It's already bad enough I'm forced to display earrings on my rugged male Hyur... now I get to 'glamour' myself? If you let me glamour my jewelry into nothing-ness, that could work... but still, Glamour?!


P.S. I'm not complaining, I just dislike the name. My emphasis lies more in the female-connotation of being "glamorous" in a Western Society... which' why I bring up the point I can't hide my earrings or necklace. Some may disagree, but I already feel forced into too much femininity in the game already.

Only have to do the quest once per character, like Materia and Dyes. If you have FC members who were excited for this for 'a long time' and they still don't have a single level 50, well, they should start leveling.

Also, you should probably look up the definition of Glamour.

The multi-slot issue seems to be more tied to coding problems. I would assume they're going to try and figure it out for a later patch.

The level 50 thing is debatable.

Glamour makes more sense as a name than Mirage Prism. A glamour is an illusion and we are basically casting an illusion on our gear to look like something else. Mirage Prism sounds like a localization error.

I'm fairly certain their reasoning behind the level 50 cap is due to the fact that from level 1-50, you change your gear so frequently, that it wouldn't make sense to apply your glamour item every single time. At 50, your gear doesn't fluctuate too much, making more sense to apply it then.

Yeah... I know the definitions of glamour & mirage... thanks for the condescension.

It's just glamour sounds utterly... girly (to me). To each their own though.

Also mirage is a form of optical illusion so... and it's caused by things like refractions of light & so forth so... crystals or prisms can create refractions of light which cause optical illusions so... Mirage Prism actually makes perfect sense.

I get their reasoning, I just disagree with it. At least at this late notice. I mean, I think it should be a player's choice if they utterly despise wearing the pink moo moo or that thong underwear on their MNK as they level.

"Glamour" has been in ARR since forever. Go do any battlecraft leve where you have disguised leve targets; the items you use are always described as "glamour-dispelling" cores or whatever.

1) At this point of the game, getting to 50 on a single class is not considered blitzing anymore. They still have time to go through quests and get their first 50 easily.
2) I'm sure it has more to do with the programming of the system. I imagine in their character database when you have the multi-slot items on, the other slots are specified as N/A (Not Available). Thus, an associated Glamour properties can't be linked to something that is not defined.
Bonus: I don't really mind. :/
