Proof that this gear is/isn't AF2? Or do you strictly want something called "AF2" to drop from dynamis?

Well, the proof is all over the thread. People have posted pictures of the Gerolt gear and pictures of Yoshida holding completed concept art of AF2 and neither look the same. How could you have missed it?

Concept art is a wonderful thing, because you know.....it's just a concept. Not everything that gets made/modeled/drawn/shown off/etc makes it into every game.

That's true, but there's no reason to rule out AF2 this patch until the patch is live. Lack of evidence isn't the same as evidence of lack. More may be yet said on tomorrows live letter.

Also if I'm going to post, I'll give my own two cents. I doubt Gerolt's is the same as AF2. We've seen both tanks wear Gerolt's tank gear, at least in the moogle mog fight we saw what was obviously a Warrior with an axe wearing the same gear. The thing about the moogle fight was that the Scholar wasn't wearing the Gerolt's, but I believe the healer set would be shared similarly to how DL was set up with tanks, healers and casters sharing models with their partners.

As for AF2 not being ruled out, that is true. However they are releasing 2 brand new ilvl 90-95+ gear sets this patch alone. And concept artwork for the Levi weapons or Ramuh weapons have been showed way ahead of time. Its not a far stretch to believe we won't see true AF2 until 2.3 or later.

Because the WAR (2.2 trailer, during the mog extreme battle) and PLD (preview pics) wears the same gerolt tank gear.

What I meant was concept art and what actually gets implemented is obviously subject to change. We'll find out when 2.2 hits or possibly tomorrow. We don't 100% know all of what WILL be added, and how everything is going to work on the stuff that WILL be added.
