AF2 will not actually be in 2.2

im hoping this lala WHM is only wearing i90 crafted.
Because, to my eyes it looks too generic for a so called AF2. None of the WHM gear elements we've always seen on all WHM throughout FF games appear on this outfit ( the hood and the little red triangles ). It looks like something both SCH and WHM would use, apart from the weapon of course.

If it was just for me id get this as AF2:


Please SE give it to me already, or at least make it for AF3! :3

Brayflox pointy aetherial cone hat and the lvl5 CNJ quest reward as body, way to make an iconic "armor" such as AF. Nice!

Aside from Bard we haven't seen any of the other classes that we already have concept art for.

We've seen WAR, DRG, BRD, MNK, and SMN at least. Go to OP's post. We've also seen images of WAR wearing the stuff the PLD is wearing in 2.2 above, so that's not PLD AF2 either.

It seems to me that OP is likely correct: there won't be AF2 for 2.2 at all.

We know of:
Gerolt Gear (Relic gear??)
Coil 6-9 gear

AF2 gear:





People are assuming because the 'Relic gear' Bard outfit is far different from the labelled 'AF2' that they are not the same thing
Every single set of high end gear (Sets include Head to toe, so things like colosseum do not count) looks the same on both gender

AF2 might be the new New tome/capped weekly ... we shall have to wait and see.

How did u get your AF1+1 if not from tomes?

Yes we know there will be new tome gear, NO we dont know if it wont be redisigned AF2.
