When the preceding veteran reward gives you an almighty behemoth mount, yeah, you'd be so damn thrilled to know that the next veteran reward level gives you a... Odin minion and 50 free teleports! yeah you heard me right, 50 free teleports! damn straight.


just because you go around calling everyone else entitled doesn't mean you are right and it sure doesn't mean you are "better" than the others you are criticizing.

Here is a suggestion, stop criticizing the people here and focus on delivering a compelling argument as to why 50 free teleport is appropriate for a 360 day veteran reward when the preceding veteran rewards gives unique and collector's items.

(As an aside, I removed the "petition" part of your thread title, as we do not make responses just because the word "petition" is used.)

A compelling argument? There's no reason to even complain period! Even if the Behemoth was the 360 day reward and you got the tickets earlier on, someone would still complain that 270 days (or whatever) for 50 free tickets is lame! You can't get a Behemoth mount every month! Get over it!

End of a promotion? that is the best argument you could come up with? oh god.

I love how those against a better veteran reward have absolutely not a single compelling argument.

In fact, it is really strange to see people choosing to have sub-par items (and vehemently defend it) over the possibility of attaining a better one.

2.) ...Square Enix is giving you something for subscribing. For god sake. Calm down. Who cares what it is. In FFXI there are no veteran rewards. You sub and that's it. Nobody complained then. People didn't ask SE "Hey, can you do veteran rewards and give us stuff for subbing?" SE just did this as a plus. Yet people STILL complain.

The real question is, and I've said this multiple times before. Why do I bother even coming into these forums? Yes, I have called out posts that appear to say, "I am entitled." Never did I say I'm better than anyone else. That just must be how you feel.

It is one thing to say something. It is another thing entirely to actually do something. Just because they do not choose to acknowledge a complaint openly does not mean that they do not acknowledge it at all. We have seen threads like these be deleted as well which is also a form of acknowledgement.

But you're right, Square Enix does not owe us anything. However, I would definitely appreciate having something a little bit nicer to commemorate a year of playing Final Fantasy XIV.

They can't just keep scaling up the rewards...you can't have something bigger than a behemoth mount. I mean literally bigger. Veteran rewards aren't going to have any kind of advantage to them that will make other players "not as good as you" or anything. I think they'll be strictly vanity items.

That's why I think this is actually a step in a different direction, the 50 tickets are actually of use. And maybe they're the first step to a whole year of items that might scale up as far as how useful they are to you without affecting others negatively who don't have that "prestige" yet.

Think of other reasons. Don't just automatically think we're all being shafted. I can't figure out why people think this way.

I doubt SE realized anyone would complain about veteran rewards.

nobody said scale up, just don't scale down. they don't have any other mount ideas or bardings? many people even just asked for Fantasia. an extra Favorite teleport spot every year would be nice too.

Check what I said, I updated my post.

And see, right there. People will complain about your idea. There are people complaining that all these different mounts are useless and they don't want them. People literally just complain and complain. There's no winning. There will be tons of new mounts in the future. But they can't be JUST veteran rewards. And they can't be every other month...

1. Different thing altogether, you are throwing unjustified insults around whereas I'm merely asking for a good argument from those who opposes having a different veteran reward.

2. You are the one who needs to calm down, we have explained countless of times, our rationale on this topic, it isn't just a mindless rant without rationale, perhaps it would do you good to read through them and understand the arguments raised.

3. By calling others self-entitled you are implying that you aren't and therefore an individual who possesses "better" values and virtues than those you are disparaging, the fact you are even trying to mask your attempts at being condescending and disparaging is rather baffling.
