They don't make any extra money from subscribers like you. However, they are still trying to get you to subscribe longer; it just doesn't matter to you in particular. They make a ton of extra money off of everyone else. I can't even imagine how many accounts chose a longer model just to get the Behemoth mount early. (Whether or not these players made a wise decision or not isn't the point.)

SE puts these items up as an incentive to subscribe longer. That's not even debatable.
I get the same item as anyone else regardless if I subscribe longer or at 30 days. SE doesn't make anymore or less when people put money into the game on a 30 day or 180 day. Sure profit centers might have gotten a nice boost one month, but guess what, cost centers take a hit for the following two months. I like how people think that because someone paid for 3 months up front, its like the costs of running a daily business is somehow diminished for the following 2 months.
