I love how those against a better veteran reward have absolutely not a single compelling argument.

In fact, it is really strange to see people choosing to have sub-par items (and vehemently defend it) over the possibility of attaining a better one.

There is no compelling argument to make. You are crying over something that doesn't even have to be given. It's called looking a gift horse in the mouth. We don't have the right to choose. You and some others are turning this into Occupy Eorzea. It's entitlement and the fact that you choose to deny this and state that there is even a compelling argument to make is ridiculous.
