    I think that the solution is to balance the rewards for leves and ensure that no subset gives substantially more SP than all of the rest. If they were all more or less the same, then there'd be no incentive to fail specific ones.

    I guess my question now is, does anyone know if SE plans to address this in future updates? I haven't seen anything posted recently one way or the other.

    To fix the leve failing would be a simply fix... make Faction credits do more.

    Sorta like how salvage and assault worked.

    make it where a Dungeon cost 80-100 Faction Credits to enter or something. (So now people can finish leaves and get around 100 credits per 8 leves, or they can fail get more sp but not be able to do dungeons.)

    That there works, SE can continue to say it is a fair trade and now people have to choose Dungeons or 100k sp/hr.


    Either that or add some really good stuff from Faction NMS (stuff that makes people want to do them)

    How would you be further punished if the leve rewards were balanced, removing the incentive to fail them on purpose? In fact if they removed the incentive then you would end up much more gil, faction points, and marks. Clearly the SP reward is much more valuable than whatever else you get from completing the leves or you wouldn't see just about everyone doing it. Again, a system that rewards people who TRY to fail is broken and needs to be fixed.

    Thanks for the translation. I think balancing the rewards between leves would be a better option but this is still good news and really all I wanted to hear. Thanks!

    so its leve balancing they are talking about, but from what i can tell, the translation says they are discussing it still and thats not how its going down yet


    we need an official translation on this though honestly before we start really looking at what it says

    Hmmm, I wonder when they plan to implement that? I'm not against it, but I hope they do something about how many leves are available to choose from in addition to the SP reward for completion. Otherwise people will still fail leves as the fastest means to rank up. Either that, or the completion bonus must be pretty damn large to compensate.

    Balancing the SP rewards so that all the leves offer relatively the same SP for completion solves only half the problem. Saving the same 7-8 leves is partially because those specific ones offer relatively more SP than all the others. The "leve link" system is the other part of the problem. It pays to keep the same leves in a group so you can link them for more SP that way. If you keep the link system but balance them all, it will still pay (if SP was your main objective) to pick some leves and keep them with the group you're going with to maximize SP through max links on every run.

    P.S. if the completion bonus in SP overcomes that problem solved.
